whoopi- if you cant contribute something- like an opinion or statement of facts- then fkkkk off!
the forum doesnt need idiots like you who are just interested in. in- what is it your interested in any way? The Premier Lara Giddings has defended her economic record amid concern Tasmania remains in recession. Australian Bureau of Statistics figures show the Tasmanian economy failed to grow in the December quarter. State final demand fell $3 million in the last quarter, for the second quarter in a row. The Opposition says Tasmania is officially in recession. Leader Will Hodgman blames the Labor-Green power sharing arrangement. "Premier, doesn't the fact that Tasmania is now in a recession confirm that your minority government, which Tasmanian business this week has said is being manipulated by the Greens, and your government's policies, which Tasmanian business has branded the worst in the economy, is killing Tasmania's economy?" "Having Minister McKim in your Cabinet is damaging business confidence and is damaging the economy." The Premier Lara Giddings laughed off the suggestion. She read to Parliament reports that South Australia was technically in recession and Victoria is on the brink of one. ''There's actually something going on here other than a Labor-Green government in Tasmania." Tasmania's unemployment rate today rose to seven per cent. Tassie in recession. ![]() Only a matter of time before official figures reflect the same on the mainland. The big $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ are made getting positioned AHEAD of time. This mug is a total loser, a naive amateur, a pretend trader, an intellectual dwarf striving to be taller than what he really is......and trust me he is awfully short.
This clueless mug has been posting on the financial forum that the AUD is poised to go over 1.10 !!!! Epic ignorance. Check it out if you don't believe me. I took him to school over it, but that's besides the point. How do you reconcile the rubbish he is posting on the financial forum with what he is posting here. You can't, because this clown makes it up as he goes along. Australia is headed for some hard times, but will avoid a recession because you are blessed to have a most brilliant central banker. For every dumb feck like benny the clown in Australia, there's a brilliant person as well. Here's how you can really tell you are headed for the riffs, not because "iron ore prices dropped a few weeks ago", that's the simpleton's explanation. * GDP rose by only 0.4pc, against economists expectations of 0.8pc. Huge miss. * GDP per capita growth was 0.7pc significantly under the historic 2.48pc. Massive contraction. * The construction performance index fell to 35.6 in February from 39.8 a month earlier. The sector continues to be in decline for 21 straight months. * Australian PSI dropped 5.2 points in February to 46.7. Anything under 50 is considered recessionary. New orders showed a stunning decline and were at their lowest level in 12 months, with this particular component dropping a whopping 8.5 pts to 45.6. * China lowered their growth forecast for 2012 by 0.5pc. That's why the AUD is the short of the year, not going to 1.10 plus as this clueless mug posted: Mrben Joined: 25 Oct 03 Replies: 4693 17 Feb 12 04:06 ............. AUD is set to break its all time high of just over 1.10 and a bit. Currently 1.07.80 ish It all adds up to a push to the 1.10. ...... I have a strong bet on the AUD. How will your central bank respond to all this??? But lower rates of course, which reduces the carry trade and takes the AUD lower. TRADE IT. P.S. My little intellectual midget, how does Bernanke not print if "the USA is basically bankrupt" ???? Do you even have a clue what you are posting??? CLOWN ![]() |

notice when you look more closely at the figures all the jobs are being lost in NSW and Victoria - what do they have in common? Liberal state governments that came in cutting spending and doing nothing much else, killing confidence
![]() |
|
By:
wombleoz, you might want to have another look at the figures.
February unemployment rate in NSW was steady at 5.2% (there were actually 3000 jobs created), QLD lost 18000 jobs. But blaming state governments for monthly fluctuations in unemployment is unrealistic. |

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/business/economics/jobless-to-rise-as-workers-flood-market/story-e6frg926-1226294074706 The jobs figures reflected the states' diverging fortunes too: Western Australia generated almost 40,000 new jobs in the year to February, while NSW and Victoria together lost 30,000. Victoria lost jobs for the fourth month in a row last month, as its jobless rate jumped to 5.4 per cent. "Victoria is probably the least exposed to the mining sector and most exposed to manufacturing; they are bearing the brunt of structural adjustment in the economy" Mr Williamson said. |

Anyone in retail already knows the consumer has closed his purse.Within months you will see shops close and annecdotally its being said that 30% of shops will close by june next year.Who knows if that particular number is correct but you get the point. from the sleep city link posted by bas The closures come as industry continues to suffer from poor trading conditions. Nearly 500 stores closures have been announced by major companies including Billabong and Speciality Fashion, with analysts expecting more to come over the course of the year. errrrrrrrrrrrr Was I right? Yet again? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The non mining sector of the economy continues to contract. |

still not 30% of shops closing, not even 2% pfffft... Sorry mate, but by benny the clown's standard's calling 30pc when in fact reality says less than 2pc is......a right on the money prediction. Dontcha know? ![]() i suggest you go enjoy your imaginary 10 years wages you gained Again sorry mate, let me work the math out for you: benny the clown's annual wages = 0 10 years wages gained = 0 X 10 = 0 I'm starting to think benny the clown may have told the truth for once ![]() |

more stores closures- this time WOW audio in QLD
Almost 600 people will lose their jobs as electronics retailer WOW closes all of its 15 stores after receivers failed to find a buyer. The Queensland-based audio-visual chain will now hold a closing down sale to offload its stock over the next few weeks. "The closures will result in approximately 580 job losses," WOW receiver and Ferrier Hodgson partner Stewart McCallum said. But its administrator says it is working to complete a sale so production can resume and business can return to normal. A new buyer could emerge within weeks. A meeting with staff was held this morning. Glenn Franklin, Petr Vrsecky and Stirling Horne from Lawler Draper Dillon have been appointed administrators of the family-run business. Opposition leader John Robertson has said in a statement that Reed Constructions is on the verge of collapse and 1500 jobs are at risk, even saying that contractors haven’t been paid in several weeks. "Barry O'Farrell needs to intervene immediately to stop the loss of another 1500 construction jobs in NSW," Robertson said in a statement.
