non co2 ... NASA

update needed .... australia don't have to pay up[ to the UN rorters

until we start increasing our natural gas exports when the coal runs out

of course then we we still produce one-squillionth of what obama's usa will put out

but he will still want OUR money .. and the highly educated but worldly unwise uni students will still appluad Laugh

you lot sure do go on a bit

seems - Secong has problems with the science and Thebas is more concerned with the money

both extremely short sighted imo

if the science is right, and I see little reason to doubt it will be mostly correct, it will cost us a hell of a lot more to do nothing than to do something

By:

When: 14 Dec 14 08:16
womble ... how will we get china, usa, india, russia & japan to pay that price ?

those countries are upping the ante ... and burning more & more

i don;t think the UN can control them

and if they did give us money ... they will still be dumping unprecendented amounts of extra co2 ... for the next decade and a half

how will the money help the atmosphere ... if they continue to burn ?
By:

it'll happen Thebas, it's a question of when not if

sure i'd like a faster change but we need to be realistic as well - developing countries need to keep developing

womble the science is ever evolving as Thebas repeatedly shows and you conveniently ignore - head in sand

interesting to see your response to Thebas last post...

not helping the emissions one bit
By:
Thebas
When: 15 Dec 14 00:58
not one bit secong

so the question really is ...

does the world really want to stop burning coal into co2 ... or just stop certain countries (as long as it doesn't include the top 5 largest emitters)

and if its the latter ... then how disgusting a plan it is ... and every sovereign nation must be protected (by their leaders of the day) and not just give away their wealth while others increase theirs

tho imo ... it was always the ... BIGGEST RORT EVER ... this fake-for-the-environment money redistribution trick ... never about the environment at all

so you do not think that ever increasing amounts of co2 being dumped into the atmosphere is a problem for this greenhouse effect ?
By:

especially china,  oh yes and the usa, and of course russia, and then india, and now japan

in fact the top 5 emitters have ravaged the atmosphere with co2 ... and want to dump more

so they are happy to pay the price .. as long as they can burn & burn so pricing it won't stop it

the science has been forgotten in the rush for GDP

and in fact .. china have now surpassed the USA in GDP (wasn't supposed to happen for another decade)

china are no longer a NON-developed country .. yet obama applauds them for saying they will PEAK their ever increasing emmissions in about 15 years

something is wrong

oh yeah .... the fake-for-the-environment wealth redistribution trick is wrong

china relocating their pollution LOL

http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2014-11-27/chinas-pollution-solution-move-factories-abroad

China’s Airpocalypse, the lung-choking pollution that regularly blankets the country’s north, including Beijing and the port city of Tianjin, has an obvious source: emissions from the belching smokestacks of neighboring regions, in particular Hebei province.

Now authorities say they have come up with a way to address the industrial pollution that accounts for as much as three-quarters of dangerous particulates in the air: Move polluting factories overseas.

Hebei authorities have announced plans to relocate some of the province’s steel, cement, and glass production to Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and other parts of Asia.

ideal world - global price ASAP with everyone cutting emissions from day 1.  reality, developing countries will continue to emit as they continue to grow - hopefully stopping as fast as the can

you are worried about the economics of it all Thebas - what would happen to the world economy if China stopped polluting/growing tomorrow?

you have seen the rort that secong pointed out 4 years ago ... with gillard the deceiver ready to hand over our sovereign wealth to the UN

none of that was ever for the global greenhouse situations as gillard the rorter granted gina her new COAL mine straight after her fake tax began

a recession is when an economy DOESN'T GROW for a consecutive quarters

the way the world operates is that all nations are continually growing and therefore everyone is entitled to be considered "developing"

BIGGEST RORT EVER .. secong pointed it all out 4 years ago

you can't possible compare a first world country like us with some of the third world countries out there - we've benefited from being a filthy polluter we should help them develop without having to do that

i've already said Julia shouldn't have approved the mine - move on imo
By:
secong coming.
When: 18 Dec 14 23:30
ok so now we have to move on from the Julia mine
however we cant move on from being a dirty emitter in the past?
and as TB correctly points out the atmosphere doesn't tag emissions, so the world most dirtiest are pumping out shedloads into the atmosphere in comparison to us and WE have to pay whilst they don't?....(arguably making or not making a difference to the planet)
in the spirit of moving on why the hell should we?
when we and ALL the nations started off spewing emissions no one knew that any such problem with the atmosphere would occur (all innocent....and more than likely still are)
the scenario painted is we are climate criminals and must pay up...what a crocka

The Abbott government will appoint four new board members to the Climate Change Authority, an agency it had tried to scrap but has been forced retain by the Senate.

It comes as the authority prepares to undertake an 18-month inquiry into the effectiveness of emissions trading

we need a global solution to what's a global problem though, hopefully they work it out in Paris next year
