Hi Everyone,

Sorry I should have posted that I didn't have a bet yesterday, I will in future.  Typically I have one day off a week which is mostly Sunday, but I'll give you all a heads up in case you're expecting a bet.

Today in the races I hunt it there is not enough adequate value to cover all the main danger horses, mainly due to the amount of non-runners.  So I will definitely be back to tomorrow looking to get the week off the mark.

Hi Everyone,

I'll have the table of results added to my website this week and will update it fortnightly, plus I'll post it on here at the end of each month.  So if you want to watch the instruction video showing the best way to place Dutch bets, or access the table of results, let me know by sending an email via the blog at the top right of this page.

For now though let's get straight to today's Dutch Maverick bet.

The return on today's bet is a bit lower than I'd like at somewhere between 10% to 20%, providing we find the winner from one of our selected horses.  The price could move up or down depending on non-runners, or drifters in the market.  My base limit for accepting a Dutch bet is 10% per race, my target is 20%, so as long as the average overall hits 20% we can take some of these lower return days.

Hi Everyone,

Today's Dutch Maverick bet is the first race at Hamilton this afternoon.  If one of our selections goes on to win then we the return should be circa 25% on the Dutch, currently to back as a Dutch on the exchange it's around 28%.

My strategy is simple, look for Dutch bets with a return of more than 20%.  You can back these in a multitude of ways, my personal preference is the 'old site' of Betfair, and to use the multiple section, although you can back these using the new site, select all the horses, then click stake, and enter your amount which will calculate across all your selections.

My staking for this is also straight forward, as I use 1% of my starting bank per bet, so if you're bank is £1000 your bet is £10 on each Dutch.  There is no loss recovery or chasing losses, we're looking for enough winners over the year to return a decent amount.

I'll be adding a video to my website this week showing you how to place a Dutch bet using Betfair, the free online calcs, and using a Betfair authorised API with Dutching built in.  This will be available at the end of the week, so if you ant to look at this drop me an email via this forum, top right of the page.

For now though, I hope we get the return we're after today.  We won't win them all, in fact there will possibly be losing months, but overall if we stick to the plan I feel this will be a worthwhile betting system.  Thanks and good luck following my new Dutch Maverick blog.

Hi,

My name's Ryan Phillips from Zerohype, and I used to have quite an active blog in the Betfair community, but after needing some time off to rebuild my website I'm back.

I'll be running a new blog focused on Dutch betting, which was my weapon of choice primarily last time, but this time I'm going to try for the bigger returns.  Previously I was looking for steady growth and smaller margins, but this new blog will be aiming for the higher returns which will no doubt be a bumpier ride, but one which I anticipate can be very rewarding financially.

The blog will kick off from this Thursday 17th July, so this is a short prelude to this.  I won't be adding endless amounts of stats or back up data, just some daily posts with the bet info included.  If you need a bit of help getting started with Dutching as it's not exactly the most well known betting strategy, I'll be adding a short video on my website showing you how to place these bets in a couple of ways using Betfair, and also using a betting API.

So if you need any advice in how to place these bets, just drop me an email via the contact system here and I'll send you a link to the video.  Also to where you can keep track of the table of results for this new strategy, with all the staked amounts and returns.  I'll publish these on here each fortnight, but they will also be added to a page on my site.

Hi Everyone,

The results to date are below, sorry there was no Betfair community bod to authorise my screen cap last night as I did try to stick to my promise.  It was refused for some reason so I had to wait for another to be approved which I've re cropped!

Looking at this it's pretty obvious we need a few good wins to get back in profit.  I'll be back this week with more Dutch bets and looking to hit a long win run.

Hi Everyone,

Well I did warn everyone I would do my best getting these Dutch bets out as things are a lot busier for me than when I originally started this blog in 2011.  I'm hoping to get back to that routine soon, but in the meantime I will continue to do my best with the Dutching on here.
