Today's Dutch Maverick bet is the first race at Hamilton this afternoon.  If one of our selections goes on to win then we the return should be circa 25% on the Dutch, currently to back as a Dutch on the exchange it's around 28%.

My strategy is simple, look for Dutch bets with a return of more than 20%.  You can back these in a multitude of ways, my personal preference is the 'old site' of Betfair, and to use the multiple section, although you can back these using the new site, select all the horses, then click stake, and enter your amount which will calculate across all your selections.

My staking for this is also straight forward, as I use 1% of my starting bank per bet, so if you're bank is £1000 your bet is £10 on each Dutch.  There is no loss recovery or chasing losses, we're looking for enough winners over the year to return a decent amount.

I'll be adding a video to my website this week showing you how to place a Dutch bet using Betfair, the free online calcs, and using a Betfair authorised API with Dutching built in.  This will be available at the end of the week, so if you ant to look at this drop me an email via this forum, top right of the page.

For now though, I hope we get the return we're after today.  We won't win them all, in fact there will possibly be losing months, but overall if we stick to the plan I feel this will be a worthwhile betting system.  Thanks and good luck following my new Dutch Maverick blog.
