Hi good morning,

It's a poor day of racing today for our value dutch bets. The only two I can consider the best opportunities of the day, both have a low ROI of 15% & 20%.  So I suggest a day off as the risk reward does not look appealing!

I'll be scanning tomorrows races this evening, and may post later if I spot some overnight value.

Well that was a disappointing race in every possible way, our horses never looked in contention only getting us a second place on the A Rated horse.  So E/W money wouldn't have saved us!  We will be looking for better luck tomorrow, as this was just a bad race on a day where the weather can't make its mind up.

Hi,

I hope you all had a great weekend, and you enjoyed your profits from Friday's double winning Dutch of The Day!  Hopefully you came back for more on Saturday and Sunday, where another two ABC Rated winning horses ensured two more winning dutch bets.

My weekend has been pretty busy, banked my DOTD profits and enjoyed the last of the Premiership action until the pre season kicks off again, can't wait!  Had two max profit MLS winners, and our ABC Ratings produced some more nice winners for our members.  Just one loss incurred overall for me this weekend, in a football match which I should have known better and left alone, but what you lose sometimes with trading you easily make up for in experience and improved decisions later on.

Hey what a great couple of days we're having, and today's race was ours all the way with our A & B horse finishing respectively 1st and 2nd. 

If you did a forecast on this I'm a little jealous if truth be told, as I've been busy as hell and only managed to place the dutch, but no complaints as there is my profit for the day sorted!

What is Dutching?

Without boring you all to tears with a history lesson about how the system originated, which I believe was from Al Capone's accountant, but don't shoot me if I'm wrong!  If you search Google for 'what is dutching' we get, 'In gambling, Dutching is sharing the risk of losing across a number or runners by backing more than one selection in a race or event. The process calculates the correct stake to place on each selection so that the return is the same if any of them wins'.

Which in a nutshell is dutching! You can add all kinds of amazing variables to this system with the advent of Betfair unlocking trading capabilities around your dutching, but for our ABC horses, we are simply backing all selected ABC’s to win, which gives us an equal profit should any of them be a winner.  You can find dutching calculators on the net, they are readily available free of charge, alternatively you can use the multiples on Betfair to enter all three horses to win. 

Alternative Ways To Use The ABC's

Each day at least one graded race will be posted either after 9pm the evening before racing, or before midday on race day. 

Our ABC Ratings are listed in order of horses we have rated in the race with the best chance of winning, obviously with A rated being the highest rated.  We are firm believers in encouraging people to come to their own conclusions about how to use the ratings, as the real value of our ABC ratings is that they reduce the field to manageable numbers of possible winners.  The ratings point to the value bets, the horses apparently overpriced in the market that have an outstanding chance of either winning or at least placing at a big price.

They also provide potential for trading, forecast, tricast, combination and dutching bets.  For trading especially, if you find one of our rated horses not in the top three you can often track the horse and see a show of interest before the off, where the odds suddenly move in providing a possible trade off and green up. 

An example of this is 10 - 15 mins before a race when the big money starts piling on, you will usually see one, two, or all three of our rated horses moving down in price.  If you spend some time before the race establishing the peak in the graph price for our rated horses, you should very quickly start finding the horse that's going to steam in pre race, and make a profit each day using this information.  Just from the daily ratings!

Another of the many approaches to profiting from these ratings is, if you have an odds on favourite in the three, back the favourite to win and the other two E/W, or in Betfair's case to place if you don’t use the multiples which allow you to back e/w .  I also find Reverse Forecasts are very profitable, and if I create Betfair multiples with all my rated races and horses throughout the day, I'm getting a very good strike rate. 

Or even just use the ratings to spot big Each Way value bets, which are usually very good to trade on both pre play and in play.

It's really your call in the end though, as don't let anyone tell you otherwise, you are just as good a form reader or tipster as any in the country!  All you probably need to make that an inherent fact is discipline, and if you haven't already got it, get that discipline and you'll be laughing all the way from your laptop to the bank.

We've been beaten on the line in the last couple of days.  Our B rated horse Cunning Act beaten by a nose yesterday after a photograph finish.  If you watched the race you would have thought it was in the bag, but a close call in the end and again it was one of our rated horses in a place position.  Unfortunately though and no getting away from it, a losing dutch! 

If you've been backing our value horses e/w, which can be done from the multiples section or place market, then you should be seeing some profits, as each day one of our rated horses will in most cases grab a place spot.
