I had to throw one up quickly for the wildcard but he likes Epsom and handles cut so he's got a squeak

Would have been able to retire if Cankoura had got up last night...Would I even want to though? Great game!

Well done lads. Looks like we've done enough to pinch this round. We're probably only playing for second place in the comp but good luck next week

I really fancy Point Of Contact in the 4:50 at York. The value has gone, but I'm still going in. The drop in class and the booking of Ryan Moore caught my eye, and I expect a bold showing. Fingers crossed.

Went off quite short LTO (11/8) over C&D where he travelled quite well up with the pace until late on where fitness may have caught him out.Off 95 again here & with only 3 previous runs there should be more to come. Will be fitter today so should go very close in this. GL ALL |

Well done Happy! Good luck with your bets today lads. I'll be at Ascot for the first 3 days next week (best meeting anywhere in the world...even better than the Cheltenham Festival
) So I'll stick a selection up for next week a bit later. Today looks very tricky and TOFTL are 1.01 to win the comp. So I'll go for one of the 3 big priced selections I'm backing today |

I'm going for one of the outsiders in the 5.07 Sandown. Macari needed his seasonal debut run and probably did too much out in front anyway. He left that run behind last time out running second to a an improving Sir Mark Prescott stayer who'll turn out much better than a class 4 handicapper by the end of the season. The last time Macari ran over C/D resulted in a win and he's only 2lbs higher than for last his win at Newbury. There's a fair bit of pace on here so you'll need to stay the trip well, something he'll do but which some of the others aren't guaranteed to do.
A few others I like at fair prices. Copper Knight loves Chester and the old boy hasn't lost any of his pace, but his draw is off putting today. If he can break quickly and get a prominent position, he'll definitely out run his odds though. And I've split a point between 2 in the 3.23 Chester Rastnet & Sea Founder. Both look like they can win nice races this season so I'm expecting both to run very well here |

A few thoughts on Royal Ascot. I think you might see something a bit special from Bow Echo tomorrow, I honestly don't think we've seen the best of him yet. Although he's a bit too short for me to back. And even though Trawlerman hasn't had a recent run, I still expect him to serve it up to the favourite in the big one. When Venetian Sun won at Haydock last time out, she made me think of that strong travelling, classy sprinter Airwave. I will definitely use her in F/C & T/C with Coppull and probably Division. I do think Coppull won with a fair bit to spare at Ascot LTO so I'll probably put him up in the comp. The Royal Hunt Cup looks as competitive as ever but I can see Holloway Boy running a big one over a course he likes and on his preferred fast going. You'd ideally want a high draw in this race but interestingly, stall 4 has produced 2 winners in the last 10 running's of it. And Ebt's Guard who has the perfect draw, was unlucky (couldn't get a clear run at a vital time) in this race last year and has been working his way back into form
Thanks for taking part in the comp guys and I hope you all make a good few quid at Ascot this week. ![]() |

I've really enjoyed this year's Royal meeting despite finding only one winner thus far, and that was Alobayyah in the Kensington Palace Stakes on Wednesday. She did well to win under the circumstances, and I think she still has a little bit more scope. As for today, I'm taking a chance on a shortie in the Jersey. Saber Strike looks like a real talent in the making. He's got a bit of an awkward draw in 9, but hopefully, he should have enough class to overcome it. Fingers crossed.

Same here FP. Although I would have enjoyed it more if I didn't get my usual run of 2nd places! Del Maro and Trawlerman both just getting touched wasn't fun!
Good luck with your selection today FP and to the rest of the guys still to go. It looks like the leaders are choking and there's a possibility they could finish bottom. A winning round would win us the comp. The wildcard could prove crucial today so can you all give me a suggestion for it and I'll look at the table and the price we'd need to win the round |

Hi Whippin,we have done well this year in the competition, unfortunately not much from me lately.my suggestion for the wildcard is in 5.00 Ascot Dubia Bling, time for Oisin to step up,got Binhareer to beat.gl

You will need an out and out stayer in the last race on the card and the one who looks to have limitless stamina is the Chester cup winner a Piece of Heaven. This guy looks an out and out galloper and if DBM kicks for home quite early, he could completely outstay this field
