Gone for Holloway Boy today as Ascot. He ran some cracking races over the Winter in Meydan. He likes this stiff track and relishes fast going. His win rate could better but this ease in class can help him here

Wd Dixi, keeping us in the hunt

Whippin good second and in the points, fancied that one myself and decide against backing mainly because of draw.

Yes, ideally he would have been drawn a bit higher. He was beaten by the right Horse though. I've liked the winner since his debut when he was trained by Stoute

I'm going to go for my Guineas fancy Bow Echo. I've been keen on him over the winter, and although the draw could have been kinder, I'm sticking to my guns. You can make plausible cases for any number of these, but I can't see my lad being out of the frame. Fingers crossed.

Invictus Gold - 1.45 (E/W)

Got it all to do to beat this jolly but can see him getting in the frame again after
that run LTO,hadn't been out since November.Top weight but only 11LB covers the field
& he did win on this card last season,(3Yrold H'cap,6F by over 3Ls easily enough off 93).
101 today but only got 10 Runs on the board so hopefully can be competive still.

Night Raider looks Top class on the AW. I always wondered why the owners didn't send him over to the US seeing as there's some rich pickings on that surface over there. Maybe this is the season he puts it all together on Turf?

I think he can win a nice sprint this season. As for the 2000gns. Bow and Storm should be there abouts and the latter would be my no1 pick. Also there is one that I'm going to watch for the future. (I may have a small bet)  Into the Sky shouldn't really stay the trip but its very clever what connections have done here. If he stays then lots of options open up for him but if he doesn't they can drop back in trip for the Commonwealth Cup. I can see him going well for a long way and then its case of hoping the stamina gauge doesn't completely empty! lol

Alobayyah has been a little unlucky in her two runs after making an eye-catching debut at Yarmouth in October 2024. She was struck into at Sandown and then lost a shoe at Newcastle. I think an opening mark of 89 is quite lenient, and the booking of Billy Loughnane is a positive on her handicap debut. She's available at around 8/1, so I'm going to have 5 pts. EW. Fingers crossed.

Bulletin - 2.55 Ascot (E/W)

Valedictory is the short priced Fav for this around 5/4 & has still got improvement in
him no doubt after only 4 Rns & stepping up in trip but Bulletin was only just behind him
@ Newbury last time out ( slightly better terms today). That was his 1ST run of the season
so should come on fitness wise wise.Hopefully shows up if he does come on from that run.
Around 7/1 atm.

Going for Great Acclaim in the the very competitive Victoria Cup. Ran down the field in the Lincoln but returned to 7f and quick going last time out he ran his usual honest race. This 7f on fast going at Ascot looks spot on for him. I'd prefer a higher draw but I'll take a chance Charlie can a take up a decent position towards the front of the field early doors
