VWD on a good day considering we were in 7th at one stage with Lucky L, China, George and myself all adding points. The final round; we're in a decent position with only 2 rivals and only need to finish top 2, or maybe even 3rd, but no reason for complacency. Make the votes count and good luck to everyone. |

Well done last week team, and well done so far this one Mr Spreadsheet.
Good luck today. You'll be relieved to know that I'm not going to go with either of the risky ones I've put on my selection thread today, but in the hope of going with something more solid, I've gone each-way Kilmeaden in the Ulster Derby Handicap, 4.30 Down Royal (currently 4-1, 2 places). He finished second on his penultimate start at Ballinrobe to the subsequent Queen's Vase winner Carmers, and while something had to finish second, it looked like they went a proper gallop, the winner had to work to get past him, and they were clear of a Willie Mullins odds-on shot. A mark of 85 looks fair on that evidence. The softer ground might have been the excuse for the disappointing run last time at Tipperary, and hopefully they haven't done too 'good' a job with the watering today. |

WD to Lucky, Mr S and CC with the points that put us in a decent position going into the final week. If we can consolidate it, we may end up champions again, but no reason for complacency and it's only HT in the round.
