Good luck to those still to play. If this was The Weakest Link, I'd be voting myself off... After a series of Saturday shockers, I'm going to switch to a Friday, as I didn't have to look too hard to find Eternal Solace, 2.10 York, 10pts Win, who impressed muchly when making a winning debut at Brighton. Obviously a big step up in class from the seaside course to a Listed contest at York, but hopefully she can confirm the impression created there that's she pretty useful, for a yard who had the second and third in the 1000 Guineas. Stalls on the far side, so hopefully being drawn 9 is a potential positive if there is more argy bargy next to the far rail, as has happened more than once so far this week. |

WD Mr Spreadsheet and Werbie with the points that have kept us in the overall running. When i flipped through the results late afternoon i was expecting a poor day for us although the Humbugs were never going to be caught, but the 1 point difference between 4th and 5th for 4p may prove a Godsend. Dancing Gemini beaten a neck did me (and my pocket) but we wouldn't have gained a place even if he had won. Good luck with your selections in the next round, make them count.  |

WD Mr Spreadsheet and Dunter1, joint top and all to play for during the next week. Our main rivals Humbugs had a bad week, although we all know the situation can change, so if we can finish ahead of Racing Demons, would could be in a decent spot. Cosmic Year could only finish 2nd (4/1) so i guess i should have taken the EW route, but easy after the event. Good luck with the selections. |
