Good luck today guys I've gone for Lady Mander, 5pts EW, 5.25 Leicester, currently a 22-1 poke generally. Lady Mander ran well on her reappearance last season over 6f at Redcar (g-s) when finishing 6th of 20, when perhaps her effort wanted marking up having ended up more towards the far side in a race that panned out well for those drawn high. She ran well in defeat after on occasions without managing to win, including when encountering soft ground on her final start last season at Thirsk (6f), where she might have made the frame had she been in the clear sooner against the stands' rail. Lady Mander has to prove her effectiveness on today's more testing ground and it remains to be seen how the draw pans out given she has a lowish berth, but on the positive side, it's encouraging that her trainer Steph Hollinshead sent out a filly yesterday off a similar absence to win a competitive handicap at Doncaster. |
