Won't put it up today but a horse I put up a few weeks ago runs again today in Broken Spear 3.15C, totally missed the break that day lost about 10 lengths, ran on well up the hill btn about 5 lengths, meets the 1st 2 that day on 5 and 6 pounds better and if he gets out anything like on terms has a real chance, have put in the Naps league but won't put in the team comp in case he blows start again.

5ew Blackfinch 3.23 Bangor It had some decent form early last year but ran poorly later. I'm hoping that its wind op will result in a better performance and the current handicap mark doesn't reflect what it might be capable of producing.

I don't know. I wouldn't be rushing to back it next times. In a race, when push comes to shove it just folds tamely. I wonder if the wind op was used to see if that would solve the problem ? Suggests there is something else wrong with the horse. I'll hope to do better with the wild card.

Coming back to form, 4th at Uttox 2 runs ago, weakened over last, 10 lengths behind today's Fav Ten Past Midnight in 2nd (won nto), has a 10lb pull at weights today, Stones able to claim all 7lbs today. Ran close 2nd lto and some 22lbs lower in ratings from this time last year, has to go close surely. |

Yes, thought the same, held up to far back may well do better back at Ludlow on a flat track, disappointing run.

If I'm doing the wild card, my stab is 5ew Azaheer 12.40 Newmarket. Should come on for its first run and has a good draw. Stable's 2yo ran OK yesterday.
