Well done madhatter. I am thinking of going for one in the bumper but I will wait to see how Castletown gets on in the 4.45 before I make a final decision.

Great pick madhatter

I am going to go for Lock Down Luke in the bumper at Ayr. Won its first race at Perth and then looked like following up at Carlisle but got caught by Peking Rose, who of course subsequently finished 2nd in the Aintree bumper last week. Is supposed to have thrived over the winter and its current price of 19/1 on here seems a bit of value. If trained by Henderson or Nicholls would be a single figure price.

I have had a little tickle on that one myself Aquarius, win and 4 places
By:
About a minute after I had posted it had drifted to 33/1. Can I move markets or what! Either not good enough or perhaps not fit enough, time will tell.

Everyone has had a chance to make a wildcard selection so far, so rather than specify any indivdual to make the selection today, I think it should be left for anyone who has an inspiring selection to make a suggestion on here by let us say 2.00 and then we can decide which one to go for if there are lots of suggestions. I know at the moment I am struggling to find one selection let alone two today. Good luck to everyone playing today.
By:
I struggled to find my one so I am happy for someone else to go with the wildcard
By:
My tuppence worth then:
Mutasaabeq for the guineas Chil Chil 4.15 Newm Eeh Bah Gum - 4.25 Thirsk, not won for 2 years but mark is very low, never know with easterby's. speculative if bigger odds wanted - Troed Y Parc 5.12 Uttox, stepping up markedly in trip on hcap debut. I'll wait to see what anyone else comes up with before putting one of these up for my own selection. |
By:
difficult days racing hard to find value so i am going to go all in on Rushmore 4.20 Good. think this is a nice colt going forward needs this trip just hope today is the day.
gl all |
By:
Undecided, I would be quite happy with Mutasaabeq in the Guineas and quite like Chil Chil as well. At the moment I think I am down to three, Jean Baptiste in the 2.40 at Thirsk, although with a non-runner there are only 3 places to play for. The other are at Hexham with Largy Mouth in the 5.20 which has been well backed and Mill Race King in the 7.55 which is an Easterby horse who I think should apprciate the extra distance and to my eye last time out, whilst it probably could not be described as a non-trier, perhaps a not too bothered if it doesn't do the business today kind of performance. I suspect the latter one will end up being my selection.

By:
I've got 2 today both around the 2-1 so will be win.The Triumph hurdle winner Quilixios is my 1st choice in the 4.00 Punchestown and my 2nd choice Mohaafeth in the 4.50 at HQ but has the odds on Secret Protector to beat
By:
I've put up Mutasaabeq for the Guineas.
By:
I have posted Mill Race King in the competition which of course is an Easterby horse and they have just won with Delgrey Boy at Thirsk. I see that one of your potential wildcard selections is another Easterby horse, so are they going to have a good day or have we missed their winner today. I am quite happy undecided if you are willing to post the wildcard selection today as my possibles chances of a retutn has been reduced by the non-runner in one race and the other probably reached my short list mainly because of the early backing for it.
By:
ok, I've had my fair share of wildcards but if no-one else is up for it then I will post just before 3pm.
By:
I've chosen Eeh Bah Gum EW.
By:
Thanks for that undecided, so we are looking for an Eastrby treble although he has some others that could win today as well.
By:
Awful run from Quilixios
By:
What a load of....
skirted the winner of-course. |
By:
My 2nd choice Mohaafeth easily beat Secret Protector by 5 lengths
By:
Apologies as I bottled it tossed between Rushmore & Secret Flare as you can see from big race comp still think Rushmore is a very future winner but gutted to have wasted a 16/1
By:
Not a good week for us, to say the least. However it is only half time and hopefully some of us can manage to find some nice winners next week; at least we cannot do any worse than we did in the 1st week, whereas all the other teams have that possibility!
