Sadly, she ran as the market suggested. Her jumping regressed badly and that cost her fourth. Again she has travelled into the race okay and not really finished off. Ground made no difference. Either she is just not good enough (most likely) or perhaps she needs a little tinker with something.
I backed her twice, once to finish in the four, so that was a bummer. Well done Werbie, and good luck to those still to play. We started slowly last time so fingers crossed history repeats. |

Good luck today everyone Literally nothing on my shortlist today, and my AW comp picks aren't filling me with confidence. I thought about Megallan in the Listed race, but for all he's a buzzy sort and may get away with it against today's opposition, his pedigree strongly suggests a sharp 7f may be an inadequate test for him this year. So I'm taking a chance at a double-figure price EW on Something Lucky in the 12.50 Lingfield. He's been hinting that he may be about to find some form off his declining mark, so hopefully he'll get a strong pace to run at and the gaps will open up nicely. Well that's the plan anyway! |

Catching up having been concentrating on all things Cheltenham.
No update but it still looks up for grabs. I had two bets before final declarations (not great because hardly anything came out) Sam Barton and Precious. Added nothing since. 3.00 Sandown - Precious EW The form is nothing special but she has the scope and I was quite taken with her winning debut. Obviously, it is a very competitive race of its type. |
