Hi guys
I have sent a letter to Buccaneer Boris for clarification on Lockdown changes
"Stage Three of the Road Map,
No earlier than 17 May:
Up to 30 people can meet to celebrate weddings or other life events,"

asking if E.W.Thieves being top of the Team Tipster League would qualify as a life event?
still awaiting a reply Blush

Hi guys
Hope this finds you guys following the pre-season training routine booklet, fine tuning, putting in a few extra hours
jimnast I thought should provide you with information on the EWTeam
Before we board our EWT pirate ship and hit the high seas let me introduce you to your fellow buccaneers,
adventurers in search of treasures or at least prestige

You may be wondering what sort of characteristics we are looking for, we need subtle qualities those which make the difference, our crew have various combinations of these not so obvious talents, here are a few examples :-
Astronaut – one who is always willing to give us a lift off, put us into orbit, comfortable high flyer, goes above and beyond
Magician – shows us how to be able to pull the rabbit out of the hat, unfortunately recent health and safety changes will limit its amount of use, so that may put the pressure on reviving the powers of  his over used limp magic wand
Circus Performer - trapeze artist & high wire specialist capable of operating at a high level, under pressure, and without the need of a net, but still keep a grip when we are hanging on
Baby Chick Sexer – you need a crucial accurate decision maker, with very much underrated powers of being able at speed to identify and separate as early as possible the layers from the cocksure certainties, saves a lot of wasted time and effort
Michelin Chef – required to provide a choice of appetising starters, main courses or desserts, but avoiding at all costs serving up hors-d’oeuvres that are battered, turkeys that are stuffed, and soufflés that fell flat
Snake Charmer – a venom milker somebody who can supply the secret much sought after venom the team needs to ensure a quick recovery from any stinging setbacks, whilst in the same process taking the hiss out of our opponents
Diamond Miner – capable of working all hours in the dark, digging out the sparklers under pressure and provide light at the end of the tunnel

All of these will be needed to varying degrees to ride out what will be choppy waters ahead
I have been assured we have the crew to make a difference

Rules Reminders
When the comp starts Undecided will put up a selections thread each fortnight and you put your selection on there I also ask people to put them on this thread afterwards so it's easy to know where we stand.
There is no 1 hour rule.
As long as your selection is posted before the official off-time that is OK.
You can bet e/w or win only but state it clearly .
But remember the BIG exception that on Saturdays you HAVE to post by 3.00
Unlike Naps you only get 14 selections for the whole comp so they need to count
Its the total at the end of each of the fortnights that count.

In case of problems I am usually around on Saturdays to sort things out if somebody doesn't turn up. and if I haven't heard anything by 2.45 I will assume you are AWOL and arrange a wildcard.
It is vital we use all of our 8 selections each week. They can be all posted on one day. If you KNOW you will not be available for a whole week please let me know well in advance and We use a wildcard system to pick up any spare naps more of that later

Just a couple of other things about the rules where they are different from the Naps Comp. Firstly you CAN bet in France as well as GB and Ireland but nowhere else.
You can pick duplicates as long as it's a member of another team that has picked it first and not one of your own teammates.
You CAN pick a different horse in the same race as your teammates, so we can have 2 or 3 goes at the Grand National if we really want to
We don’t have any rules on prices or when to bet EW we let you use your own judgement

BUT by all means ask for views & opinions questions at any time

Kick off is not until Sunday so there is plenty of time for questions

Poor Steve Bruce struggling to keep his job just down the road at Newcastle despite being out of the relegation spots and yet Salmon Spray somehow keeps his Captaincy after finishing bottom of the league...it’s a strange life ..
Anyway I am starting off today with a odds on shot ( very unusual for me but always liked the look of this horse) and it’s well named...
I will get a bit of stick from HKF so I will make sure I will walk a bit faster later on today when I am passing his house.
I am going a tenner win on McFabulous 3.10 Fontwell 8/11 ..
Salmon will be proud of me ..

I can see motseel has been practising his stall starts
talk about out of the gate, but keeping us on tenterhooks until 5.00 is stretching things Mischief
I was going to ask Ud if he should offer double stakes on for the first posting to score points each week
and half stakes for the last scoring post DevilBlush
it would lessen the settling load for later in the week Grin

Pete I certainly didnt see that coming i will get betfair to check that IPaddress, then ask HKF to drop a line to your Drs to half that dosage

Salmon nice to see you get the dreaded vote of confidence posting
I am sure my letter is typed up just sat in a bottom drawer somewhere
How do I know
I typed it up, didnt want them to forget my one good week Laugh

Do you have any preferences jimnast jumps or flat etc. North, South, Irish, AW
By:
jimnast
When: 28 Feb 21 12:28
not that interested in poor uk flat racing other than wolverhampton stewpot, love the jumps and until covid came around spent plenty of time over in ireland going national hunt racing,as i did over here so the jumps is my love ,although the good flat racing like newmarket, ascot and newbury i spend a lot of time on and really enjoy, irish flat was something i never really bothered with other than the odd 2 yo race but whilst in lock down i took it and find dundalk pretty good and shall look forward to there turf season.

how about you ?

Between you and me, dont tell the rest of the Team I retired from the game really, a good few years ago now
I blame Udecided, Dessie & HKF for dragging me out of the retirement haystack every now & then
Used to be a member at Ripon for many years, until the invasion of the Saturday beer buses, Ripon isnt big enough to cater for them & us
Used to attend 30+ meetings a year
Downsized a few years ago into a small flat and sold off of more than 50 years of form books etc. etc.
The exorcism was painful, very painful switched my allegiance to caring for my grand kids & saturday mug viewer CryCry
Many wont remember or know, I was a former Premier league naps winner in the distant past
By:

When: 28 Feb 21 13:55
nothing wrong with caring for the grand kids ,the bus trips are a problem with summer flat i think it will get even worse when we are back to normal,i to won the premier league 15 plus years ago ,just rejoined the comps a few months ago and even plan to continue once allowed back racing.

Nice to know we have another "jumps" fan amongst us. If I'm honest (and I am) I don't care a lot for NH. Much prefer Dundalk and the Turf Flat Excited
I think we have a nicely balanced team lets hope none of us fall off the high wire as Captain won't allow us to be cautious and use a net Shocked

When: 28 Feb 21 14:33
i am only a novice with dundalk but it reminds me of back in the 90s and early 2000s i would hardly miss southwell and wolverhampton in fact if your local means the one you go in most then mine was the prince albert by wolverhampton train station, you were able to get to know almost all the horses which is now the case with dundalk.

Stewpot I hope you've got a good supply of chill pills for the next few weeks to keep you low key and simmering until every Saturday now Petemac has joined the early club. You may be the provider of our only rear guard action this time around Laugh

When: 28 Feb 21 14:43
For some reason Jimnast I have never given the english AW tracks any attention, my focus has always been pretty much turf flat and dundalk. I think dundalk is a little more difficult to fathom these days because at one time you could almost guarantee most high numbers were up against it. Nowadays high drawn are written off at your peril.......

When: 28 Feb 21 14:58
I can vouch Dessie has course specialist against his name for Dundalk,
just a shame a few of his apprentices havent read his handbook on how to ride it Laugh

I used to have Stockton, Thirsk & York against mine
early attendance memories Fleet almost refusing to race at Thirsk then goes & wins 1000 gns next time out 1967
went to Royal Ascot for 5 days 1969 Habitat v Right Tack year ,
& Chelts 3 days 1970 Bula novice, Lescargot 33/1 gold cup Persian War, & Rainbow Valley Dickinson 1st chelts winner & getting out bet

Nothing from me today lads
a couple of interesting ones at Newky, Toronto ex O'Brien, Silver Dust, Vindobala all of interest
but certainly none strong enough for me to put your money on for this week
you might think otherwise, game of opinions or is it onions
I know you just got to peel back the layers until you find what you are looking for
it certainly brings tears to your eyes in the process Cool
