Biggest hard luck tale of the day was posy, a 7/1 winner on Rajinsky.
Sadly it could only push him up three to sixth, just 51p short of promotion! Especially galling since he had the highest strike rate of just over 43%. 
But there was one result that guaranteed last-minute promotion, as a 15/8 sent sing when ur winning up three to ... third. Plenty to sing about there!
Big well done to our latest champ, madhatter. An odds-on today was just icing on the cake of a performance highlighted by a 12/1, 8/1 and 7/1. It's also fantastic to see competition stalwart hong kong fooey go upstairs in second. He's had a lean spell of late but just four winners included a 12/1 and 6/1.
Our singing chum in third did the spade work with a 10/1 on day one, but it needed today's winner to seal the deal. The mini me stable boasts a winner too, with Màkant Izichi holding on to finish in fourth.
And the final place is taken by another comp veteran, Value Seeker. Great to see him return to greater purpose. 
As for the rest, hard luck guys. Must mention postpaul's 11/10 winner today. But you all made a competition of it.
