Caramba! Just when you thought you'd seen it all, DFCIRONMAN, fed up with languishing in the depths of the division, sticks some spinach in his porridge (eugh!) and comes up with an absolute pearler. Silent Alliance  came home at a superfilarious 25/1. In a flash, the man who put the bru into napping soared 31 whole places. Unfortunately, due to his perilous previous position (that string of 0s is there for all to see ), it wasn't enough to stick him in the thick of the promo action. But it was enough to leave him with more than  a shout at ninth. Fantastic nap DFC! Very appropriate on the day you hailed the great napping that takes place in this div.

It was all eerily quiet at the top. Not a winner in sight. Nerves? No one budged an inch. Apart from our girder guy, the best tilt at the top came from Polo Minx, a 7/2 winner on The Wee Chief,  the nag that brought the latest lay comp race to an end, That pushed our minty cat up four to 11th.

Elsewhere, One Shot 2 Shot grabbed a very healthy 4/1 on Boughtforasong  but rose only three almost to the mid-way point , unluckyStu took 11/4 to climb five lower down, and THE-GHOST-OF-DICKIE-BIRD and zipper had odds-on winners but were still pushed down one by the ironman's astounding ascent. Bit different from yesterday eh?

Okay guys, this is it. No more excuses: it's the day to go for it, no matter where you are in the table. Sure the totals of the top five set a high bar, but there's nothing to lose in trying to top it. Nothing ventured etc.
