Gone 5 pts EW on George Bowen, 2.00 York
Not much of a price to be going EW, but hopefully he will at least hit the frame. When he finished last of 5 in a nursery at Goodwood 2 starts back, he gave the impression he'd be worth another chance in a more strongly run race; he then turned up at the Western meeting when there was a golden highway up the stands' rail, and probably did well to finish as close as he did, winning his little race in the centre and finishing 3rd overall. Stalls stands' side today and he's drawn on the outer, plus he has prove himself on the ground (though pedigree offers hope), so a couple of queries, but we've got Moore on our side, and if they start playing dodgems against the rail, hopefully he'll come down the outer and pick up the pieces. Well that's the plan anyway... |

Saturday 3pm rule:
There is a cut-off for posting selections to prevent late tactical play. As it is a little unfair if you pick a subsequent nr after 3pm, (to not be able to replace it), you may post a reserve. The reserve is tied to the original selection, whether it's posted by you or on your behalf. Once original and reserve is posted it cannot be changed. The downside of this reserve system is that it can get a little confusing/messy, a bit more work for me and indeed for all who pick after 3pm, needing to come up with reserves. So see how it goes for a couple of weeks and let me know what you think. |

Fwiw undecided, I think the reserve system is an excellent idea given the early cut off time. If it's too much hassle for you, fair enough, but if so, how about refunding the 10 points for anyone whose selection is pulled out after the cut-off time? |

Morning fellow pins,
A difficult day with many big field handicaps, one of which caught my attention with a possible EW on Top Tug (3.10) but i've decided to go for a win on Akeed Champion - 4.10 York. A 2 yr old maiden at this time of the year wouldn't be an ideal nap, but it ran well LTO to finish 2nd at Ascot. Moved stables since and RF has stated it worked well in mid-week. Good luck all and WD George with the EW points. |
