We have made some signings over the years but this is well up there with the best of them
Up to the rest of us to prove to him what a wise move it was Wink

Great news! Are we letting our new man take the penalties for his sign on fee?

Nice to have an established sand striker up front with HKFWink The five man midfield of Tingle, Oshun, Stewpot, Petemac and De$$ie will support with plenty of crosses.

**** the defence!!!

Hi boys,

I'd like to wish your team good luck and prosperity for the new 'season'.... but I just can't bring myself to do it.... as usual I am praying for a miserable run and your utter collapse into the abyss.

Kind love and wishes.

Looks as though Im going to have to be that 7th player
I was hoping for a non playing role  - AGAIN

Just being reading about the Descriptions of the Seven Samurai Warriors

Do you recognize any familiar characters Blush

Kambei Shimada,  the leader of the group, he is a wise but war-weary soldier.
Katsushirō Okamoto, a young untested warrior.
Gorōbei Katayama , a skilled archer, acts as the second-in-command and helps create the master plan
Shichirōji , One of Kambei's old lieutenants.
Heihachi Hayashida , recruited by Gorōbei. An amiable though less-skilled fighter. His charm and wit maintain his comrades' good cheer in the face of adversity.
Kyūzō,  he initially declined an offer by Kambei to join the group, though he later changes his mind. A serious, stone-faced samurai and a supremely skilled swordsman; Katsushirō is in awe of him.
Kikuchiyo , a would-be jokester samurai (right down to the false noble birth certificate) who eventually proves his worth. He is mercurial and temperamental.

OR for our Far Eastern followers

(島田勘兵衛 Shimada Kanbei?)
(岡本勝四郎 Okamoto Katsushirō?),
(片山五郎兵衛 Katayama Gorōbei?),
(七郎次 Shichirōji?).
(林田平八 Hayashida Heihachi?),
(久蔵 Kyūzō?).
(菊千代 Kikuchiyo?),

Hi Guys
-----------
I am just getting a little bit nervous guys
other Teams are talking of strategys, approaches etc but  I havent done anything to offer
so have I by default have we adopted a 'High Risk strategy'  ScaredScared

Should we come up with a Planned approach Confused
but everybody does that ........
Plan-A - usually doesnt work , so we will miss that one out
Plan-B - is the quick fall back and usually not thought through, cross that out
Plan-C is a sign of slight desperation
Plan-D is usually a sign of chaos setting in, so we dont need to show that

BlushBlush

so can I suggest we start at
Plan-J then they wont know were we really started off from
Plan-E is when we need lift off with some high flying scores
Plan-ET is if we need out of this world scores to escape from Mings Mob, Demons & Bugs attacks
Plan-K is if we need to go defensive and shore up a slender score
Plan-T is needed because everybody needs a Green Plan these days
Plan-X is needed for anything excluded by any of the above
Plan-Z have we got to Z already - is it time to start using numbers or give in & enjoy the Fun
Laugh

Qs-
In preparing for battle I have always found that plans are useless,
but planning is indispensable.
Without leaps of imagination or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities.
Dreaming is a form of planning therefore I shall dream on.

Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face.― Mike Tyson

Unplanned moments are always better than planned ones

So lets just be SURPRISED and have Fun

unless of course you think otherwise ................. Dream On

Hi Guys
well we are finally under starters orders guys ........... STARTS SUNDAY !

Just a few reminders to get us all up to speed

Be nice if you could PLEASE SIGN IN ..................
to let me know I ont need any stall test certificates

If you intend to do ‘Saturdays only’ be pleased to know in advance
then I wont be worrying about any late shows

If you are going to be selecting late on a Saturday – No Objections
but please let us know saves me calling up a late joker
or any expected holiday cover needs
I shall be about most Saturdays from November 8th

A few rule changes to note
1, DEADLINE is 3pm on a Saturday (and still 1 hour before race time)
2, it is a TWO week scoring period

Selection choice is up to you, you know which races  you are best at
Quite happy for you to go e.w. when it suits, its all relevant to the scores on the doors
saving stake does count here
Dont object to having two in a race if you feel strong enough about it, I prefer not to
very rare for me to do it,  but has been known ......
I know some of you like to GO FOR IT .......... dont have a problem with it  Love

Its all a bit of FUN guys Love

ENJOY

ps
Nice to see our promotions company ‘STARTING HANDLES’
already in full flow contacting some opponents who needed a nudge Mischief

On my football travels tomorrow Captain Stewpot and a strong possibility I may be visiting an opposing Captain, what's your advice on any drink or food on offer do I tell him to try it first?Scared
By:
stewpot
When: 26 Sep 14 21:06
I can say I trust all the Captains with my life
but just in case they hold some sort of grudge
Make sure you sit at a glass topped table
the cow heel, sparrer pie & pomfret cake should be alright
take your own toasting fork, be polite & turn down the doggie bag
The Milestone should be a safe place to top up .... Happy

Enjoy your day, hope she gets a good run out
weather forecast good if a bit windy Wink
