The usual struggle to find a winner on the last day, with many if not most of you bravely going for that clinching but faintly outrageous price. Shame of it is a few almost succeeded. JRAS was eight lengths away from landing a 100/1 shot, Value Seeker less than two lengths from getting a 20/1 shot home, and sing when ur winning a head and nose away from getting the 11/4 favourite to kick him upstairs.
Instead we just had two odds-on winners from the top five and SlippyBlue's 11/8 success with One For Harry that shoved him up three to the fifth promotion spot.
At last eh Slippy? Thoroughly deserved IMO. You've been so near, yet oh so far before.
Very well done to all five who go up. alist5, a shortie winner today, has banged them in regularly throughout the month - nothing spectacular (the best was 11/2) but it all added up to a tidy £15 and a 45% strike rate.
khyber kim and Glossy were unlucky today but themuppet also bagged a shortie to gild the promotion lily. All three banged in some big prices to ascend the stairs to heaven, the most memorable being kk's 12/1 winner, appropriately enough on March 12.
We'll miss you lads, but wish you every success upstairs. As for the rest, commiserations for those who almost made it, but a huge thank you to everyone who has taken part. Every month is a tale of winners and losers, but also of people having a go just for fun. I hope it was and we'll see you all back in April.
