Can reigning champ Billposter successfully defend his crown? Will MANL reigning champ Skinto / TheNorfolkMafia  justify the hype and mount a serious challenge Mischief ?
Will comp stalwarts such as PAT'S PLAYTHING, Pedro39 and China Castle be back to throw down another serious challenge for the title? Or are there dark horses out there lurking, you know the ones, the speed figure merchants and the video mob Wink
Who knows, perhaps one of the compers who use nothing more than a lucky pin will sweep all before them!

Let the relentlessness begin! Devil

First meeting - Kempton, November 11th
Final Meeting - AW Championship Finals Day, Good Friday, 2014

Meetings taking place on Sundays are not included.

Rules for the individual meetings are unchanged:

One selection per race
One nap per meeting

Winner selected scores 7 points
Second selected scores 3 points
Third selected scores 1 point

If SP is greater than 6/1 points are doubled
If SP is greater than 12/1 points are trebled
If SP is greater than 20/1 points are quadrupled
IF SP IS EVENS OR SHORTER POINTS ARE HALVED (i.e a 4/7 winner scores 3.5, a napped 10/11 second scores 3)

All nap points won are doubled.
You may not nap any nag tissued in the Racing post at evens or shorter.

Any non runner (which can be substituted at any time before the off) will automatically go on the favourite, including naps.

Points will be awarded on a daily basis, according to finishing positions as follows:

20 points: 1st place
15 points: 2nd
12 points: 3rd
10 points: 4th
8 points: 5th
6 points: 6th
4 points: 7th
3 points: 8th
2 points: 9th
1 point: 10th

Individual daily meeting threads will be posted in the Horse Racing forum group the night before each meeting and an "in-running" scoring service may sometimes be in operation if the kind volunteers have time.

The overall leaderboards on this thread will be updated by me on a regular basis.

Monthly comps will run along side the overall one.

Good luck to to all who take part.

Let battle commence...

That'll teach me for being lazy and c+p'ing stuff from last year's thread Blush Obviously was gonna change it but forgot after re-wording the main text Crazy

Just in case anyone thought I'd actually typed out 2012-13 Devil

There wasn't much shame last year George - hardly seems worth it if there's no penalty for multiple prolific offenders Plain

A personal well done to GeCoolrge as well for making the overall top ten without collecting a Devil trophy on the way

Virgin, I don't have a problem with people napping odds-on shots cos it's penalised by the half-points rule.

Shane, think Sharareh may have a good chance in the 4.20, keep it under ya hat Wink

Risk a tactical selection or just collect the 3.5 points, that is the question! Grin

Week 1, Day 6

What an excellent opening week and great to see so many taking part. I don't know what the record is for the fastest century of points, but a jet-propelled angeleyz must be well on the way to breaking it!

At the other end of the table, reigning champ Billposter joins the leaderboard.
