Well its not in the double figures we've become used to recently, but today's plaudits deservedly go to Following The Herd, who scored 8/1 with Tariq Too. That's his third winner on the bounce and eighth for the month. Terrific napping!
Today's other sizable score came from betme at 5/1, his second straight winner and ninth of the month. Great going!
Which all means that the follower and his punting friend inch up a place to third and fourth respectively. The herdsman is now just a couple of pence off top2rated in second!
But at the top of the table the inestimable petemac continues to set the pace - 9/4 today meaning he breaks through the £30 barrier!
That's his second on the trot and 11th winner of the month. What a month pete! Splendid stuff!
Unfortunately, that was about it, apart of course from the almost obligatory odds-on strike by youknowwho (but if you don't it's dukeofpuke).

So how does the competition thing work ? ...I assume one starts off in Div 3 and gets promoted to Div 2 if topping the league at the end of the month ? Does it run first day of month to end of month ? I wouldn't mind having a stab at it if I may ...

Art Decko ... the competition runs for the calendar month and at least five are promoted at the end. As you suggest, the target is to get to the Premier Division. You are welcome to wait until the new month starts or you can join in straight away, as a sort of practice run (unless you can quickly knock in the odd 20/1 winner!). However, you would start off on -22 if you posted today. No problems either way. Look forward to seeing you among BF's top napsters! Don't forget to read the rules though, especially the "1-hour" rule. You'll find them on the thread for October 1.
