& To encourage above evens picking

I thought that too mh but in fact it isn't. If you take the example of Cloughie1 in Zippers group. He picked three losers, and two of them were odds on shots, and although his opponents both picked losers that were odds against, they both received a point......I have to admit I too thought that in that situation Cloughies opponents would get a point but not Cloughie as he went odds on?

I think Groups 1 & 16 are the interesting ones, where sonofshinner who didn't turn up at all, got 3pts for picking 3 losers, where dogdayafternoon & s.kenbo got 2pts for 3 losers because they both lost to shanelee1966.

Let's pretend sonofshinner did play and would have gone through on that basis, would that have been a fair tie-breaker, that he didn't lose a match at least, or would you prefer like in the second table that they all finished on 0 and there was some other tie-breaker?

Group 16 - 2nd table would have gone to a tie-breaker between angeleyz & Sing & M D(if played), same q again.

Not withstanding that people may have played differently, I don't think there's much in it.

I reckon though that the competition wouldn't have been so close final week as you widen the gap between those that picked winners and those that didn't, would have been a few more final week "dead matches"?

tactics are very much part of it.and i played my part completely wrong.

hi5 got a brilliant winner of 15-2 early so then i was trying to beat his price which was wrong i should of looked at my next opponent dd who had picked a loser i then should of gone for a shortie to at least get a point

then when i meet him in the next round post early another shortie if it wins i get another point = 2 overall that then puts pressure on dd to pick odds against and more chance of 0 points.if i win the tie i get another point = 3

so last round against mh it would be 3-2 so the options would be.both lose i win.both win odds on i win both win odds against i win.
i lose any mh win he wins.i win odds on he wins odds on i win.i win odds on he win odds against he wins.i win odds against he wins odds against i win.
