Group stage match format:

Within each match, players will be required to pick one horse, win only, any price. You may not pick the same selection as your opponent.
Players can pick any time Monday to Saturday (the duration of the match).  Sundays will be for catching up on results and making draws.
There will be a cut-off for all selections on Saturday - the time of the first UK/Irish race.

I would imagine that because UD quotes Irish as being legit then LRF will be whatever is latest

Undecided just a thought for you to chew on if you are thinking of another go (this suggestion would increase the time of the comp considerably so you may not fancy it and I can fully understand that). It is my opinion that the person posting 2nd will always have that advantage so a home and away match making it 6 group matches instead of 3 with say a Friday noon deadline on the away team posting. The home player can still post first if he so wishes.

petemac, i'm not sure if the 2nd poster has a significant advantage anyway. Of course he/she knows what price to aim for, but that could actually alter their judgement, looking for a minimum priced rather than a winner they really fancy.

Fair comment Andrew as in my 2 winners I posted 1st both times and in the 1st match it put my opponent in a position were he was forced to go for a 11/2 or higher price otherwise he may have gone for a 5/4 shot looking for the bonus point.
But I do think it still gives you a slight edge if not a significant one.

EG.. fisrt player puts an 8/1 winner up ...that cuts out a lot of the really fancied  horses  to pick from  for player two . he / they need a 9/1 or bigger to beat you

By going for that 11/2 shot he greatly increased his risk of picking a loser rather than a 5/4 winner for 1 point, and at that point, as you had the winner in the bag already it was you who held the advantage, not him. And its the choice of the 1st poster to go first. Dont see any reason to tamper myself.

petemac .  theres 3 or 4 knockovers every day . but they may get you through a round or 2
backing certs  say 4/11 up to 11/10.. you have no chance ...if DC made it no points for a loser. you would not last a round
