Our top dogs came from the lower half of the field today, led by s.kenbo, who seems to think the horse was named after the next Chelsea manager. In fact it could be any Chosen One  - could be me for instance. But who cares when it brings home 13/2, a first win since joining this month, and a massive 20-place rise to the top half of the table. Splendid!

Another new entrant who broke the ice was nellie1970 - really got to stop thinking elephants when I see that name - who picked out Lorimer's Lot  - the nag that sealed the fate of the latest lay comp - at 5/1 to scoot up 15 places to the half-way point. Cool!

Third best today was pauli, who has also been struggling to end a drought this month, with not even a place to show for week's effort. But nothing could Thwart  his winner today at 7/2 for a nine-spot boost. Very handy. It was handy too for JRAS, lifting him six to ninth.

Elsewhere:
Burton-Brewers grabbed a second straight winner out of the Brunton Blue  at 9/4 to rise four to fourth. Got a feeling this could be the month BB ...
Hallelujah! I think petemac really means business this month notching his fourth winner, Big Time Billy,  at 3/1 to sit just two places off promotion in eighth. Go pete! Others hitting the big time with Billy were Weaver Fish, up four to 13th, and OURDAVE, up five to 15th  ...
zipper continues to bang them in, Victorian Number  at 6/4 his fourth strike of the month. Unfortunately, as others rushed to the top he slipped a place. beglopty had the same winner but managed to shoot up four. Not so many in a rush where begs is ...
Another one for Virgin, Jonnie Skull  at 11/4, moves him into 11th ...
john.t scored 5/2 with Apollo D'negro  to advance to 14th ...
The shortie section was filled by SilverBuck1, who has yet to find a loser this month,  dukeofpuke, Lee Ho Fooks and MOB.

To follow up yesterday's 1-20 supernap from "the system". In answer to the critics "the system" took me to the prem once but hasn't been performing so well of late. This little winner could be the sign of improved form. Look out leaders.

I would say the reason is fairly simple pete - no relegation in this div to worry about - for now!
