We are having a 'mare. 11 selections so far and nul points We also have two further problems. I have no idea whether barney will turn up or not. Also with Wolves transferred to Lingfield there is NO EVENING RACING on Sat. I hope and presume twm is aware of this. |

Right. The table hasn't been updated yet but as far as I can gather the Thieves haven't been doing well this week so they may not win this round. Therefore although it would not be a good idea to go for 1-12 shots you don't need to look for 25-1 shots either though one would be very welcome. Anything below about 8-1 should be straight win though imo.
THERE IS NO EVENING RACING. So I will be sticking rigidly to a CUT-OFF TIME FOR SELECTIONS OF 1.30 If anybody has a wildcard to play after 2.30 please put it on this thread and I will stick it up if necessary. |

If EVERYBODY who reads this and is in the team could put up a possible wildcard running after 2.30 it would be very helpful. If we need one and I have 2 or 3 to pick from I can try and make sense of the table at that point and go for one that's an appropriate price.

Ok well I would have put up Paphos EW at Lingers as cant really see it being out of the places but
I see nowt under around 8-1 is wanted EW so I have done Perfect Shot EW in the 1310. If a wild card is needed my choices would be: 14:50 Ermyn Flyer EW 15:25 Silly Billy win or Chandrayaan EW |

Possible wildcards could be very useful.I just don't know whether barney will show up. I presume he is still moving sooner or later. But all selections MUST BE IN BY 1.30 |

This is getting complicated. My choice was going to be in the same race as Lampus` but both of us might need winners so I shall oppose his original choice instead
2.10 Aintree - West End Rocker. I HAD put it up last night in the Big Race comp. Just Deep I and barney(ee) to turn up. We have possible wildcards courtesy of twm if necessary. |

My first choice pick was in the 2.10 @ Aintree & my second choice was in the 2.30 Sandown so I thought it best to avoid clashes so have plumped for Little Josh in the 3.20 @ Aintree - Good Luck Team

I've probably got this horribly wrong but have gone for Chandrayaaan e/w in the last at Lingers as twm's wildcard pick.
Gone purely on prices as I wouldn't dream of second-guessing twm on the a/w. Sorry if you turn up barney but at this time of year people really have to post reasonably early. Good luck Buggies. Maybe we CAN pull this out of the fire |

I am disappointed as I am sure are the other Humbugs but tbh I think you deserved it as you have the best team spirit. We are better than some teams but we've never got that vibe going that you lot have. |

Good effort team, although it feels like a bit of a missed opportunity imo. I don't feel we ever hit top gear (myself included) - we were clearly pretty consistent though so it's not all bad. I understand what our leader says about team spirit - I personally struggle to find much time for the forum these days (I used to post a lot on the ante-post forum but just put up my bets on the one thread over there now). Saturdays are my main betting day though & I keep an eye on things if we need a wildcard etc.
Humbugs will rise again in 2013 & Sir Salmon Spray must remain as Skipper Merry Christmas to all fellow Humbugs & see you in the New Year |

I have always known I have been captain since March 2008 when it was thrust upon me even though I was then the newest member of the team.
It struck me the other day that that is the best part of 5 years  My feeling is that is probably long enough. I know we've done pretty well over the last 3 years but I'm not sure my heart is quite in it to the same extent that it was. So if anybody else wants the captaincy please speak up. |
