Three big numbers today but only one that made a real difference. Since I started settling this division bluenose7 has been flirting with promotion every single month - 14th in July, sixth in August, when he fell just 17p short, and eighth last month. And it looked for all the world as if he would be with us for another month as he viewed the summit from 10th place, needing at least £4.50 to get in the places. He did it, with a terrific 14/1 winner, Having A Ball, which is certainly what ole bluenose is having. That shot him up to second just hours after boro had claimed the spot with a fine winner of his own. That's not a bad way to follow the 5/1 winner yesterday that shot bluey up 10 places - a story that echoes the success of this month's champion. Big high 14 to the nose for that terrific finale and congratulations on making it to Div 2 at last!
And a quick word about LordyLordy's amazing last gasp championship victory. For all intents and purposes he was looking like a classic wooden spoonist with not a winner in sight. That changed in just two days. On Sunday he landed a 33/1 winner that shot him up from the pit of everlasting nothingness to the elevation zone. Just the day after he struck again with a 10/1 winner that put him in pole position. And that's where he stayed. Best of luck Lordy as you return to Div 2 after a three-month absence.
Well done too to the the man who occupied second place for all of four-and-a-half hours today, uptheboro, who scored a great 8/1 win with Myboyalfie. I was always sure boro would make it - I can still remember the two 7/1 winners he got that had to be ruled out because of his poor timing a month or two back.
And big up caress with all those little wins that put her in fourth, the last being today's odds-on winner Ma Filleule. Little c has had some big ones, but has mainly nibbled a passage to promotion with lots of little 'uns - a total of 12 winners in the month.
And of course congratulations to madhatter, who has had a pig of an end to the month - last winner was on October 15 - but led the division for most of the month and clung on to return whence he came in August. Hope you fare better this time mad. And at least I won't now be bamboozled by having a madhatter and a madhatters in the same div! I'm just left with the really mad one!
There's a final big well done to be handed out, which would normally have warranted top billing: top2rated's 12/1 winner Lupo D'Oro. top2 was one of the last crew to come down from Div 2, none of whom have particularly prospered this month. Poor T2 also looked every inch a wooden spooonist as he languished at or near the foot of the table, until today's winner lifted him six places. Great shout and, hopefully, a sign of things to come.
Commiserations to angeleyz, pipped at the promotion post with just three races left. But haud ona wee minit there, jimmy, because fate is about to transport you to Div 2 anyway because of retirements there. So, in fact, well done angel!
And Horny38DD might like to think of packing her bags because there is a possibility of another place coming vacant in Div 2, in which case you'll be going up too! Hey, it's Christmas already! 
And final commiserations too to berniedinneen, sadly leaving us because his work's getting out of hand, who ends up taking the wooden spoon. We know you're better than that and hope we see you back some time.
And hard luck to the remaining crew: thanks for making this another fun month and let's hope for better fortunes in November. Just remember, you are in the best division of the lot! Who says so? The figures. Our top three again are the top earners across all four divs. Take that, you Naps Comp nobs!

I have run a race trip for 20 years myself that includes 4 or 5 competitions a year, 7 to follow / Champion punter etc so i do know how time consuming these things can get but we wouldnt do it if we didnt enjoy it.Keep up the good work mate. My mate Hong Kong Fuey has been trying to get me into this for the past 12 months and i got that sick of his success i had to have a bash myself to knock him down a peg or two but i am going to have to improve my tipping to catch the MAN up. Congratulations to Lordy who proved this month no matter how bad you seem to be doing it can all change in a day or two.
