I don't believe it! Whats going on here? Some skullduggery i think. I try to win the wooden spoon and hit two winners in a row. Now i bet if i mention the P word as in promotion, i wont see another winner for the rest of the month!Laugh

It was a good day for picking winners and we got our fair share. Top story today is again the intrepid uptheboro, who followed up yesterday's 8/1 score with a perfectly-timed 17/2 winner in the form of Clockmaker. As if by magic, the man who couldn't pick a winner to save the universe has transformed himself into a hot contender for elevation, with an eight-spot rise to ninth place. Excellent! Cool

But he's not alone. Stung by just missing out on promotion last month (maybe that's why his nose is blue) bluenose7 was no bystander when it came to picking Looking On,  which came home at 5/1 to push him into second place. And madhatters is now looking on the promotion zone, sitting just a place behind after picking the same horse. As the competition hots up at the half-way stage, Nijinsky also did himself no harm with the 11/8 Daaree,  which consolidated his fourth place.

Lower down, GAVBEN is able to rejoice at last at picking his very own winner, rather than an instruction, singling out Sir Graham Wade  to pocket 9/4. pension fund lost a place despite odds-on success, zipper gained three places with Sir Prancealot  at 7/4, and deadbrain59 made another eight places on the back of Everlong  at 13/8, his second straight winner. And down among the dead men geos1 scored with an evens shot to lift himself by three.
