The promotion battle is beginning to fizz, with bluenose7 the latest to break into the levitation zone on the back of the nap of the day. Mind you, a nap is the last think you think of with Coffee, which rode to victory at 13/2 to lift ole bluenose six places to fourth. It's his second 6/1ish win in four days, so nice work! But he's got company.

angeleyz nailed his sixth win in just over a week, defying mathematical logic with Third Half - either that or angy's a light drinker - at 5/2 to take fifth place.

pauli, still hovering on the fringes of a better life, went Ballista at 2/1, but it lacked the punch to shift him nearer his goal. pension fund struck for the second straight day with the 9/2 Jo'burg to shoot up 10 more spots. The same nag ended Horny38DD's string of ducks and provided a 14-place lift out of the great void. khyber kim wasn't quite so fortunate, but then kk's a light drinker too so Third Half could only shift the napster five places. We also had a couple of naughty but nice shorties from swift-tuttle, who's been banging in a fair share of them recently, and MOB.

Not a bad day's napping guys. But all to do again tomorrow. Best of luck.

PS: It wouldn't be a bad idea for people to check in with SHAPESHIFTER's blog on here before making a selection, because he is a layer who is very good at spotting what he calls "weak favourites". He's got a pretty good track record (6-0 today including three in our table - and an 80% strike rate over the past two months) and he usually posts them around midday. Just a thought.
