Thanks for the update Reged. Well done to the 9 winning napsters today.
.
All good things must come to an end, and china castle failed to enter the winner's enclosure today for the first time in more than a week. Didn't do him any good taking Sunday off to pray for more of the same. Someone shoulda told him the Big Man had taken the day off to wagch the closing ceremony. But you can't take away from china what a fantastic run that was: seven straight lays - 22/1 9/2 7/1 3/1 5/2 11/4 9/4 - for a total return of £44. That'll take some topping!
Not much of a battle for the remaining promotion places - everyone's using pea-shooters instead of rifles! The terrible twins Tightfisted and Grok followed the whole world and his father on the 4/11 Stand Of Glory to tread water, while khyber kim did much the same with the 30/100 Khazeena. Watch it lads, the enemy is almost at the gates!
Napster of the day was top2rated, who had a 5/1 fling with Little Dutch Girl to rise five places to ninth. Billy Whizzle thought there was Somethingboutmary and he was right, to the tune of a 15/8 win that shoved him up five places. His mates Weaver Fish and Red Hand both took 6/4 on Seventh Sign while MOB's preference was for a Titled Gent that came home at 15/8. Cloughie1 also scored but, like those he's chasing, the pea just wasn't enough to frighten the opposition. And down below it's no business as usual. They need howitzers!
Well done winners, best of British today (do a Mobot before you make a selection. Maybe that'll inspire you!)
