On the basis that Newbury to me can be a tough place to win at and course form is useful im hoping Iko can reproduce the form of his run here when 2 L up when departing at the last and was at the time serving it up to some half decent animals (swing bill for 1). That run was off a 4lb higher mark (129) and he is only 1lb higher now (125) than his last gutsy second at a track that is more suited to pacey sorts than true stayers. If he can eliminate the odd mistakes and he is on his game he has to go close imo.

southwell 12.40 kinkeel 10/1 bet 365 nap....good course record 4-8-3-2-1-1 triner in good form, won this race 2 years ago , entered at tow another track it runs well at in 4 days time.....winnable mark....has rpr in the 80's last year so the horse can definately run better than recent form suggests, may be better going left handed.....

negatives 13 years old....and has the apparently well handicapped esteem to beat.
