Thanks to Virgin for providing the links to the comps.

For anyone who wants to check their own score to check it's the same as what I've calculated, the points system is as follows:

1st - 20
2nd - 15
3rd - 12
4th - 10
5th - 8
6th - 6
7th - 4
8th - 3
9th - 2
10th - 1

Remember, if there are level scores at the end, eg 2 people finish top with 40 points, then the points for the top 2 positions are divided, 20+15 / 2 - so each would receive 17.5 pts.

well done on catching up with the scores

By:

GEORGE.B When: 06 Feb 12 11:28

Wasn't meant to be a devil there. I thought I'd caught one of the emoticons by accident, but couldn't see where having had a quick glance

I'll update the scores every evening unless Richard returns to take over. Whatever, I won't let it go more than 3 days without an update, cos me or Smartie don't fancy traipsing through 30+ meetings again!

Billposter When: 07 Feb 12 09:01

Thanks George of sorting out the overall points table
I’ve been keeping an up-to-date record of the AVERAGE POINTS TABLE for my own use to compare my score against everybody else’s. I can’t guarantee that no mistakes have crept in to the scoring. The other thing I don’t know is who has participated in the four meetings a week or more. All I can say is it will give some indication where everybody stands. Would you like it posted?

By:

GEORGE.B When: 07 Feb 12 11:34

Billposter, I'm sure we'd all be grateful (even though it will make painful viewing for some of us!

) for an up-to-date AVERAGE POINTS TABLE - especially those in contention for the top spot.

Unless Richard returns, will you be able to carry on calculating the averages?

By:

GEORGE.B When: 07 Feb 12 11:38

As for the 4 meetings / week, all I can suggest is you work it from Richard's last table and if there is anyone not on there who look like they should be, perhaps they can be added too?

By:

GEORGE.B When: 07 Feb 12 11:40

For example China Castle (see Richard's note on the last table), and I presume you know Wicked Whisper is now called CrowsEye.

By:

GEORGE.B When: 07 Feb 12 11:56

On a rough calculation, say an average of 7 races / card, so 28 races / week multiplied by 13 = 364.

So by the end of last week, to qualify for the average points leaderboard, a contestant must have selected in about 364 races.

GEORGE.B When: 07 Feb 12 19:21

Week 14, Day 2

A good day for yoursomean who extends his lead at the top by 19 points; today's top scorer was tippu with 26 points, and she has already scored 65 points despite only joining the comp recently; Pat's Plaything moves into a podium position thanks to hitting the scoreboard twice today; and another mover was the Black Emperor who finished second and fifth in the 2 comps today.

Thanks very much, Billposter

Are you able to sort it from the averages column to show who's top?

As I posted earlier, I think to be eligible for this table, competitors need to have selected in at least 364 races by the end of the 13th week. Are we all agreed?

It looks like Youresomean is leading the average table too on 2.9828

Week 14, Day 6

A triple header saw both PAT'S PLAYTHING & dizzylizzy bag over 30 points each, both picking up points at all 3 meetings. Roy moves into second place and reduces YSM's lead to less than 60, while lizzy climbs into 6th place.
2 Top 10 placings see Dukeofpuke break through the 300 point barrier, and ribbons break through 100 points.
LIONS is the latest newbie to join the leaderboard thanks to finishing 4th at Lingfield.

Good luck next week.

Week 15, Day 2

lilBobby becomes the 7th person in this season's comp to amass over 300 points. It was a winning return to the comp for stewarts rise, and he joins the leaderboard along with another forum 'veteran' treetop.
You don't need an excuse to join the AW comp, but I did like the one given by newbie Colin2909, and he joins the leaderboard straight away following his joint 8th placing at Southwell today.

Week 15, Day 3

A good day for both cosmik debris and wizard's sleeve who I think I'm right in saying were recording their first win in the comp; top scorer on the day was ribbons who picked up 23.5 points; CrowsEye becomes the latest member of the 300+ club; and Youresomean keeps the pressure on his pursuers by once again extending his lead to over 60 points.

Week 15, Day 4

pedro39 was the star of the show today with 2 decent-priced winning naps which helped secure a win and a second place in the 2 comps, and his 35 point haul sees him break the 300 point barrier and jump up to 5th place; Aviboyd was danger in danger of being lumbered with a Timeform squiggle at one point today but finished with a rare rattle to land a 1529-1 4-timer in the last 4 races at Kempton; Billposter was a Top 5 finisher in both comps and collected 18 points; and PAT'S PLAYTHING picked up 11 valuable points in his bid to close the gap at the top.

Special mention to Orchardist who is leaving this year's comp to prepare for Cheltenham, after having amassed a very respectable 278 points. Good luck, sir.
