Sorry chaps, that was woeful.
Not sure what to make of Atlantic Tiger, looked as if he was going to be well beaten, but kept on not to be beaten that far in fifth. Whatever, it's not good enough and it's back to the drawing board for me! |
By:
sorry guys, work is very busy at the moment, even for a shift worker like me and i cannot be around as much as i'd like to be -----honestly. thnx FCH and GEORGE.B for keeping it going today.

Gone for Laaheb today at Ascot, guys
That Mafki was disapointing yesterday. Hannon must be kicking himself as Canford Cliffs would have won that race. Pretty poor QE2, I think. |

Well done, Ra Nova. I feared Fallon had got back up on the line, but thankfully not!

As the month ends on Thursday, do we have to give our final selection for September by then, or is it still classed as a normal week and selections can be given on Saturday?
By:
GEORGE - the week always ends on a Saturday in the team comp, regardless of date.

Cheers, bettysboy - just thought I'd better check.
I did contemplate putting up History Repeating at decent odds in the 2.30 at Bath. It was just a seller she won at Yarmouth, but did well to win it after missing the break. She looks to have a bit of size about her and is by Singspiel, so improvement isn't out of the question as she develops. I've had a little on at 80s, just in case! Though perhaps a bit too speculative to make it a selection. |
By:
That wasn't one of my better 'guesses'. On the plus side, I've still got my 10 points.

good to see your normal service resumed Ra, wd mate

Well done again Ra. Gone for Lakeman who has his ground and on a decent mark , pity he is not 25`s like last year when winning in similar conditions at Musselburgh.

shanelee1966 will join you if that's ok as a replacement for the man who's been absent for a while now.
By:
bettysboy = Am i right in thinking i start next week? if ok with you.
By:
shanelee1966 - please feel free to put up a pick tomorrow if you want, but you may have to call it a wildcard for "the man".
Please ask on here if you want any rules clarifying. Welcome to The Lucky Pins - we're a friendly bunch who you'll get to know easily enough. GL |
By:
Thanks bettys, so one selection per week, no excuse for at least placing if not winning then.
From your above post i take it i may only be temporary ? Best of luck to all players, i`ll try for a few winners ![]() |
By:

bettysboy - i think i now understand your earlier post, i can post for this week which finishes
today as a wildcard, but next week and beyond i`ll be a permanent member of the team ? Sorry if i sound a little slow. |

Thanks FCH. I`ll post a wild card today.
By:
I`ve gone for Together 1:55 Newmarket (wildcard)
Best of luck team, got a feeling today`s not going to be easy days punting. |
By:
Welcome Shane, good luck with Together.
I've gone with State Opera (EW) in the other Sales race. Which may not be the cleverest thing to have done if a high draw turns out to be a negative. I was quite taken with him when he won at Hamilton, and given he's a Shamardal / Unfuwain cross who is already proven on soft, that's where my pin has landed. Good luck with your picks today. |
By:
Nice one GEORGE, a very good chance yours.
By:
Cheers Shane, though tbh, given the price has collaped; queries over the draw; he's up against it on the figures; and there are 'could-be-anything' horses like Fury (who too was impressive on debut) and Cobbs Quay (who should handle the ground well) up against him; it's probably a shocking selction!
But it's the best I could come up with! I do have a couple of 'guessy' selections - but I've gone with the potential. |
By:
gone with elliptical 340 new,e.w.gl team

![]() Just realised I forgot to post my selection on the Naps comp as well - DOH! |
