hope you had a cracking day yesterday, FCH. next time we're likely to be at the same course i'll leave my mobile number for you - Whitbread day is a hell of a session for me as go with guys i used to play football with 20+ years ago, so not a good idea to attempt meeting yesterday- in fact i don't think we left the bar all day!

Had a very good day yesterday thanks BB, although didn't back any winners. Very impressed with Sandown, a great viewing course and excellent facilities throughout. We were very well looked after by the course, six were given places in the royal box and the rest of us in a suite with the owners and trainers, champagne reception and a meal before racing and afternoon tea after the Whitbread (yes with tuna and cumcumber sandwiches and cakes), with a free bar throughout. Its a pity I was driving! Would be great for some of us catch up one day.
Sounds you had a great time meeting your old football mates and hope you had a winner or two. |

Just reading that last post and it might be an idea to arrange to all get together at a race meeting somewhere in the middle of the country ( Yorkshire? ) one day in summer?
Could be a lot of fun and a lot of drinking! |

Ra - a great idea. We tried a couple of years back, but it didn't work out. Maybe now we should try again.
I have no problem sharing mobile or phone info - some have this already - but sesnsitivity to those who would rather not meet up is a consideration. This is a virtual team after all. for reference my email for correspondence ( although not used on a regular basis) is bettysboy@ntlworld.com - be mindful that i rarely use this unless i am expecting mail. 2nd day at Chester my team pick was wiped from here and selection board (betfair's wonderful updates, lol) before winning at 7/2, my picks in the big meeting comp were wiped too which included 2pts on the 7/2 and 2 pts on a 13/2 winner as well, just to rub it in they were my only 2 winners through the whole meeting.
To be fair Ud did offer to accept my word and honour the selection but I refused, just in case there was any dissent, anyway the important thing is that the b'fair account looks a bit healthier today, they didn't delete that haha. Ok, I'm going to give Huzzah another chance e/w in the Victoria Cup 3.25 Ascot. Good luck Pins |
