Not sure they are backable now, with the likely Robbie handicap...  I have them firmly in third place at the moment.  The momentum is all with Rebecca and it looks like she'll be the main threat to Matt. I think 1D will continue to drift.

Make-up artist claims Matt Cardle romp

A make-up girl linked to X Factor singer Matt Cardle has claimed that he was "all over her" just minutes before performing on the show.

Lauren Clements is the latest female to be linked to Cardle - following stylist Grace Woodward and backing dancer Sarah Robinson.

The Sun reports that the 27-year-old told Clements: "It's the first week I've been given my own dressing room - let's make the most of it."

Cardle allegedly saw the part-time model during last weekend's dress rehearsal and invited her back to his room as the audience began arriving in the studio.

"It's not the sort of thing I would usually do but we got on really well," Clements told the paper. "We were all over each other on his couch for about 20 minutes and made it back down just in time for the show to start."

She continued: "I had done all the make-up for the choir - I just do touch-ups before it goes live - so I was just hanging around. Matt was holding open a door for me and we got chatting.

"Before I knew it, he had suggested we check out his new dressing room and I went along with it. He's a real charmer and I was just swept along. His dressing room was upstairs. It's like a little box. It's got a little sofa and a sink. Nothing too fancy, just everything you need for privacy.

"The contestants get all their fancy stuff done in the dressing room downstairs - this was just a place to hang out for Matt," she said. "We used the sofa and it was very nice. Matt certainly knows what he is doing."

However, she admitted that she does not expect the pair's encounter to lead to romance.

"It's true Matt is a ladies' man and it doesn't change the fact he is adorable," she said. "But it's not like I'm going to date him or anything. We're just two adults having fun."

A source who witnessed their first meeting claimed that the singer "made a beeline" for her. Matt apparently met Lauren at about 7pm, then took to the stage an hour later after tidying himself up.

"Within minutes he was leading her upstairs to his dressing room. Everyone was talking about it," they said.

Recent reports have suggested that Woodward dumped Cardle following revelations about other girls he is alleged to have become close too.
