Putting Cher and 1D aside, if Matt has Rihanna and Rebecca is paired with Christina, it's a massive advantage for the latter...
Especially singing Beautiful. I really do think that could be the final's knock-out moment. |
By:
Amazing duet for Matt would have been Nelly Furtado and Broken Strings
By:
Yeah, good shout...
Which song would it be with Rihanna? Take A Bow? |
By:
that's dull. Umbrella's been done to death.
By:
Someone must be singing 'Rumours' surely? With Fleetwood Mac no doubt!
I'm going to take a moment ................ Say it with me .................... hmmmmmmmm! |
By:
vile stench of hypocrisy wafting in again.
If you're not interested in the banter and the speculation which you said you weren't this morning, don't join in on my thread. |

Bieber could make Saturday night easily if he flies in and out again, he has almost 3 days between gigs. And Avril still looks in, A1 reply:
jasav James Saville RT No Avril on X Factor guys....for sure. Phew! > well I think you might be wrong on that one mate x 1 hour ago |
By:
nice to see the great man still getting some work
now then now then i have a little tweet wot reads: "Dear Jim, could you fix it for me to get Mr Bono Vox to sing with me on saturday? yours Matt" Now Mr Bono, busy man busy man,you see... sorry - losing the plot reading the forum today ![]() |
By:
Cheers Henry
seems like there's as much guessing on twitter as there is on here |
By:
Yeah but those 2 tweeters we were quoting are senior guys at the Sunday Mirror. So Avril is on....for now...
By:
Massive gamble going on now on Rebecca.

Massive gamble going on now on Rebecca.
Where? How do you know? |
By:
Bieber's Friday night gig starts about midnight our time, so it really would be a case of flying over here almost immediately afterwards to get here for Saturday midday.
Not a great deal of spare time for rehearsals, etc. |
By:
Then it looks like the Daily Star could have got it right: Christina Aguilera, Robbie Williams, Will.I.Am and Rihanna.
By:
I think the 4 names from this morning look more likely than this evening's offerings, but Christina and Rihanna look to be solid.
By:
Rebecca and Christine then. What a powerful combination.
By:
Why on earth would Cher duet with Avril when the point of her doing 'Girlfriend' was doing both the Avril and Lil Mama parts?
Wish they could pull in Wyclef jean and do 'Killing me softly ' or 'ready or Not' instead. |

Louis was on Irish radio again today.
He said - He doesn't think "the boyband" will win,nor Cher. It's between Matt and Rebecca he feels. Then later - He believes Matt will win the final. |
By:
Not that he knows how the public vote is going of course, any more than Cowell does ;)
By:
five leaves - I guess you've noticed Louis loves his little "vote counter" hints. I think he is so low down the food chain it is the only special info he gets!
![]() |
By:
I suspect he's the closest to Cowell.
I'm not sure he'd still be in the job if he wasn't ![]() |
By:
I do believe Louis is given info re the polls..too many "tells" over the years not to have been. Going by the quotes above I think Louis is confirming what we already know ie its a 2 horse race and that matt is ahead but not out of sight.
High risk strategy though threatening people who say cowell knows PV stats each week then letting ann old washerwoman like louis in on the figures. |

Louis knows exactly what's going on...him and Scowell go a long way back - Scowell had to take him back after sacking him
By:
"sacking him"? i thought that charade was 100% engineered.
By:
Louis is unsackable he knows where the (firm young male leather clad) bodies are buried [;)]
By:
You can only put Rebecca with Christina she would show all the other stars up vcally. What a coup this is if true!
By:
Looks like the market on here is assuming it is true. I always think that Christine, like Cher, could do with a good wash...more dirty than dirrrty...but she can sing.
If it is Rebecca and its matt holding up a blitzed robbie then fav flip flop. |
By:
Yep, I agree it's a coup - and whatever the final line-up now, if it's Rihanna and Christina teaming up with Matt and Rebecca this is very firmly a two horse race...
By:
They're now saying Elton, Rod and Sting could be on the show! ...................... all silly guesses. Simply wait to you get the FACTS lads. You won't go far wrong.
By:
Rumours from multiple sources often turn out to be true Lou - I think that the Christina / Rihanna stories certainly have credence, it's just a question of who they're paired up with.
It'll have a big influence on the market, so it is worth speculating. Hence the market move on Rebecca today. |
By:
Is 'auditions songs' a theme for one of the songs on Saturday?
By:
Apparently they are.
Torn for 1D Turn my swag on - Cher A change is gonna come - rebecca No good - matt |
By:
1 v 0 to Rebecca
By:
Think Cher the biggest winner there isn't she? Though hopefully people are bored of that by now.
Very pleased with it for 1D as well as a backer. |
By:
Dizzy
I'd rather wait and see than go with all these 'rumours' 99% of which don't happen. |
By:
Definitely the 1st round to Cher.
By:
Tempted to actually lay her next elimination based solely on that.

From The Star
SHOW bosses are trying to fix it for Cher Lloyd to perform with Eminem during this weekend’s final. Simon Cowell wants to give the 17-year-old babe a fighting chance of winning The X Factor. The music mogul knows it would be a huge coup to get the controversial rapper on his show. And he is convinced a duet with the teenager would be TV gold for the ITV1 series. While negotiations are still ongoing, Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am is being lined up as a fall-back plan in case Eminem, 38, says no. Will, 35, who performed on the show last weekend, helped his pal Cheryl Cole, 27, pick Cher during the judges’ homes stage of the competition. He has made no secret that he is determined to work with her on her debut album. The US star has even said he will sign Cher to his record label if Simon does not give her a deal himself. A show insider said: “There has been a lot of talk about Eminem. “That would really give us an amazing moment on the show, like when Beyoncé sang with Alex Burke. “Eminem would be a massive coup. for us. And he’s not out of our reach. “It would be one of those moments we will still be talking about in years to come.” Christina Augilera, 29, will also duet with either Rebecca Ferguson, 27, Matt Cardle, 27 or boyband One Direction. Robbie Williams, 36, and Rihanna, 22, will also return to the show. |
