Bottom 3 market VOID.

Shake up in 5th elimination market.
Report stringerbell October 23, 2010 9:57 PM BST
but will they void the 6th elimination market, or bets taken so far?

or will they void 5th because it is different now to how punters thought?

CHAOS AT BETFAIR.

What will be voided what will stand
Report Angela Rebecchi October 23, 2010 10:00 PM BST
Not sure. Almost certainly will void B3 market, and keep the 5th Elim market.
Report Bobsyboy October 23, 2010 10:00 PM BST
Betfair have obviously done a 5th and 6th elimination market to suit whatever x-factor decided to do.  The 6th elimination will obviously carry on to next week.
Report stringerbell October 23, 2010 10:01 PM BST
nah, not sure, people have been trading on false pretences
Report bardo October 23, 2010 10:02 PM BST
FFS ... why didnt they tell people this last week... GGRRR
Report Bobsyboy October 23, 2010 10:03 PM BST
This makes Wagner more likely as 5th elimination as Belle Amie may well be bottom in the votes, but if wagner is with them they will surely send home Wagner and give the girls another week.
Report Angela Rebecchi October 23, 2010 10:03 PM BST
No way they'll void 5th market mate, they kept the 1st market and that was against the grain. 100% sure that 5th market will remain and paid out.
Report birchy October 23, 2010 10:03 PM BST
very messy. People have a case to get them all voided Cry
Report The real Moaner October 23, 2010 10:04 PM BST
What about the Terms and Conditions ITV posted saying double eliminations til Week 4?

What an absoloute joke.
Report Angela Rebecchi October 23, 2010 10:04 PM BST
Wagne won't be bottom 2 bobysboy, probs a 5/1 shot at the least imho.
Report Theodore Bagwell October 23, 2010 10:04 PM BST
the whole thing has to be voided out surely. the potential 5th elimination (i.e. one with the lowest votes) could well be saved by the judges now.  hate this show even more now.
Report five leaves left October 23, 2010 10:05 PM BST
When did they say?
Report Goldie08 October 23, 2010 10:05 PM BST
TB,

It was reversed the first week and they didnt void then. So cant void now.
Report Angela Rebecchi October 23, 2010 10:05 PM BST
Spot on Goldie.

Dermot said just at the end FLL.
Report five leaves left October 23, 2010 10:06 PM BST
A mistake?

What exactly did he say?
Report Ashley_Young October 23, 2010 10:06 PM BST
it doesn't matter how they go the 5th elimination market is exactly that
Report stringerbell October 23, 2010 10:07 PM BST
yeah maybe, you think they will hold the 6th market over until next week, even though people will have traded on non runners
Report Helmuthian Folds October 23, 2010 10:07 PM BST
6th Elimination should be void as it came under the heading 'Week 3' [;)]

HTH
Report squares October 23, 2010 10:07 PM BST
FLL - made a big point of it now being a single elimination.

Might have flashed up on screen in big caps too.
Report onthehushhush October 23, 2010 10:07 PM BST
FLL he made a point of it: only one act goes home tomorrow.
Report onthehushhush October 23, 2010 10:08 PM BST
Good point HF – well noticed!!
Report stringerbell October 23, 2010 10:08 PM BST
imo they have to void 6th elimination, and bottom three
Report five leaves left October 23, 2010 10:08 PM BST
cheers othh.

So they're ripping up their own rules.

very odd...and very annoying :(

Report Angela Rebecchi October 23, 2010 10:09 PM BST
Bottom 3 will definitely be voided, and I suspect 6th Elimination will be.

5th Elimination will stand.

Annoying for punters.
Report Theodore Bagwell October 23, 2010 10:09 PM BST
bottom 3 is a given.  that will have to go.

6th also given it fell under the week 3 heading.

5th should go too imo but i can't see them doing it.  too messy.
Report The real Moaner October 23, 2010 10:10 PM BST
The rules say

Bottom 3

If there is no elimination during a scheduled elimination show, the market will be reopened at the end of the show with unmatched bets cancelled and the time delay removed. If for any reason a scheduled elimination show is cancelled or postponed, then this market will remain open and all bets will be settled once the relevant elimination has been confirmed. Betfair will not void or settle bets on individual runners unless this market as a whole is voided or settled.

Bottom 3
At the start of the scheduled live elimination show this market will be turned in-play with unmatched bets cancelled. The market will be suspended when voting lines close. Customers are entirely responsible for their positions at all times. If there is an announcement of any change to the established elimination procedure or any ambiguity as to who has the lowest public vote then Betfair reserves the right to void this market at its absolute discretion. Subsequent events would NOT affect the result of this market.

If for any reason a scheduled elimination show is cancelled or postponed, then this market will remain open and all bets will be settled once the actswith the lowest public vote have been confirmed. Betfair will not void or settle bets on individual runners unless this market as a whole is voided or settled.

5th elimination

Which will be the fifth act to be eliminated from The X Factor 2010?

At the start of each relevant scheduled live show this market will be turned in-play with unmatched bets cancelled. The market will be suspended when voting lines close.

If a 'final showdown' is declared in respect of this elimination, the market will be re-opened with unmatched bets cancelled once the acts participating in the ‘final showdown’ have been declared. The market will then be suspended when the elimination is announced.

So it sounds like Bottom 3 voided, 6th elimination carried over and 5th elimination to continue.

Makes a mess of it though.

Report birchy October 23, 2010 10:10 PM BST
i agree with above, i reckon they will keep 5th but bin the rest.
Report jack12321 October 23, 2010 10:10 PM BST
Extremely painful, was balancing out losses in the outrights with winnings in the bottom 3 market. That's life.
Report stringerbell October 23, 2010 10:11 PM BST
yes teddy true, they prob wont void 5th, the others are toast
Report lanza October 23, 2010 10:11 PM BST
would laugh if its now voided and then the x factor still somehow declare a bottom 3.
Report birchy October 23, 2010 10:12 PM BST

Thats what makes this carnage, theres gonna be alot more people pissed off than happy at this imo.

Report GeorgeBrush October 23, 2010 10:13 PM BST

Report birchy October 23, 2010 10:14 PM BST
agree gb

john was awful.
Report Angela Rebecchi October 23, 2010 10:14 PM BST
You'd fancy it to be between John, Paije and Bellamy. Can see them just wanting to carve Paije up though. CBA to get involved though but Paije is my tip at 9s so I can smash the copy and paste if it comes in LaughCoolLove
Report Asparagus Man October 23, 2010 10:15 PM BST
Was just thinking about that OTHH - seems very unlikely to me.
Report Angela Rebecchi October 23, 2010 10:16 PM BST
Thought John was abysmal aswell, just at the prices, 9s Paije, 3.5s John I'd side with Paije for the value. Don't see Wagner in the bottom 2. Could be a shock in there though, Treyc looks susceptible.
Report Angela Rebecchi October 23, 2010 10:16 PM BST
No way a 3 way sing off. Just bottom 2 as per the usual system.
Report GeorgeBrush October 23, 2010 10:17 PM BST
How could voting work in a three way sing off?
Report Asparagus Man October 23, 2010 10:17 PM BST
FWIW I think

5th Elim - defo stands
6th Elim - probably stands (only the Week 3 thing against this decision - Betfair may decide to void as the safe option)
Bottom 3 - market should be suspended pending tomorrow's show - off chance of a 3 way sing off.
Report Angela Rebecchi October 23, 2010 10:18 PM BST
There won't be a 3 way sing off ffs!!! Why would they!!

Will be bottom 2.
Report GeorgeBrush October 23, 2010 10:19 PM BST
It was a rhetorical question angie. Please retain your panties [;)]
Report Theodore Bagwell October 23, 2010 10:20 PM BST
why is bottom 3 market still live?
Report Angela Rebecchi October 23, 2010 10:21 PM BST
I can't! I'm going ballistic here!

If it were 3 in a sing off I suppose they'd all vote for the acts they thought should go, and then highest tally leaves, but there'd be uproar if they changed it to that.
Report Angela Rebecchi October 23, 2010 10:22 PM BST
They won't void or close it, until tommorow when they realise there is no official B3.

Report The real Moaner October 23, 2010 10:39 PM BST
With the Bottom 3 - could they settle the bottom 2? Technically, it's an individual market and those in the bottom 2 are in the bottom 3?
Report GeorgeBrush October 23, 2010 10:44 PM BST
People have layed shorter odds for b3 than they would have for b2
though

It'll void

Report stringerbell October 25, 2010 8:43 AM BST
yeah they have to void bottom three, but it looks like they are running over 6th elimination, which is very controversial
