hi all.
as someone who only bets occasionally on the us stuff, do you think it's possible to do ok simply by backing certain jockeys at certain tracks? for example i was on creed's mount there who i'll back at indy and turfway. tohill at sunland, parker at mountaineer and a couple of others ( often back the lady jocks at turf para ) |

can be ok jonty when conditions permit.
I find tying them in with certain trainers are a decent angle. Im sure some of the other guys will help though |
|
By:
@ 1.7 and above the 3 just has to be backed continouosly

Not adding any value here at Piggie other than I disagree with Flights assertion he will not be making the pace on this imo if he does the 3 could get blown out
I believe 6 and 2 will take the pace along However in conclusion agree 3 should win as most of these are no better than 6f racers, 3 isnt the strongest of stayers but realistically wont probably need to stay strongly tonight At a massive price look back a couple of years and the 4 has some gd form at the distance is bred to want the trip and could surprise a few tonight at monster prices 3 med in 4 small win and place |

hi all. as someone who only bets occasionally on the us stuff, do you think it's possible to do ok simply by backing certain jockeys at certain tracks? for example i was on creed's mount there who i'll back at indy and turfway. tohill at sunland, parker at mountaineer and a couple of others ( often back the lady jocks at turf para ) without any stats whatsoever I'd hazard a guess that it would profitable to lay. Especially Parker, all overbet and represent zero value if you blindly back them all. but like i say, no stats. Take McCoy in the UK, 10 times champion jockey in a row, ridden 10 winners the last 2 weeks on a strikerate of 25.64% which is massive and yet to a level £1 stake you'd be -£12.42. I'd much prefer to back horses based on form. The jockey is a factor, esp in the US where there are a huge number of idiots riding but ultimately like all betting it comes down to value. |

thanks for the reply flight, i'm no expert but each track seems to have a couple of jocks that seem far better than the rest who ride there ( centeno was one i forgot ). i'm just wondering how much the jockey influences the price of a horse at certain tracks

count me in on the steering job at Penn. not backing it like a man though. £50 only.

By:
backed 5 penn

By:
thanks keefter, i think i have more or less agreed with your last para in my last post! I'm rarely awake to see much of mountaineer, but parker seems to do ok when i catch any of it

Flight job done mate well done.
Was confident 3 would win tonight but it couldnt have been a head down at the odds as 5 had a chance 3 would be a cracking lay next time as he isnt a strong stayer but all about the here and now |
|
By:
true sir and you know this track better than most so i heed your comments.
This next @ penn must be cup of tea and a spliff time i reckon! |
|
By:
tea and a toke, nice.
|
|
By:
has anyone taken notice of how good or bad goncalves is @ Indy tonight?
He is on a likely 1 in Race 7 which depending on his mood will win by 5 lengths or he will get boxed in and could be a great place lay... |
|
By:
he just hacked up in that race FS
|
|
By:
