Occur it most weeks Mr Q   , avoidance is impossible as far as I can see . opened a few different accounts up in  relatives names a couple of years back but they cottoned on and I had to pay them 7 grand back to get the account  unsuspended.   I still find my figures similar to them of pre PC days  only difference is I'm 20 % worse off and the cost of living is 20 % more      The real annoying thing is when heavy losing week is then followed by a winning week but still has the charge .

Still beats digging ditches out though  !!

How did Betfair "cotton on" ????

And BTW, there is a WAY to get around PC's. There is no punter alive that can long term overcome an additional 20% surcharge (on top of all the other commissions and take-outs) and survive in this game. And those who think it might be possible, it's not that they don't understand horseracing, it's that they don't understand basic maths and probability theory.

Well done beard, who would have thunk that loading up on 1.01 shots once they get clear by 5 would earn someone a living ?!?!?

eeer wait though......this means that US racing without IR and your fast pictures is out of reach for you....

too bad, I feel for you.....

Only a layer canadian and only try to play mid-race,Race reading is the name of the game-I lay plenty of winners, thats why I am at 42% charges, but overall I make a good living.Incidently if pictures were all live I fancy getting double what I get already.

Great beard, I'm in awe, I truly am.....

I have now idea by what you mean by "reading is the name of the game" but then again I'm utterly clueless so why should I?

One thing though.....define "good living".

The way you win determines PC. If you churn on horses and sports, effect will be limited. However a consistent winning run may send one fleeing to totes.

Ignoring totes is a huge mistake, Betfair is for the lazy man and I at times too, fall for this trap.

But we're supposed to believe the delusion because.......wait for it.....he is posting fake P/L statements. And lest not forget, I know people who have met him. pulgita, here's your answer:

BECAUSE POSTING 'MASSIVE' BET AN ITS ONLY 3% OF YOUR BALANCE IMPRESSES THE LEMMINGS ON HERE. IT IMPLIES THAT YOU ARE WORKING WITH A HUGE BANK.

It's not true because no one in their right mind would manage their money this way. It's moronic money management.

He should withdraw half his bank and double his stakes. Better yet, withdraw 3/4's of his bank and quadruple his stakes. The "exposure" would still be the same. Then put his withdrawn money in the bank and earn whatever little interest they pay now days instead of having it sit on here dormant.

Under his 3% max "at risk" staking plan, he can have......wait for it.....20 (!!!!) consecutive losing trades at maximum stakes and STILL HAVE OVER HALF OF HIS BALANCE LEFT OVER at the end of the run. Some money management.

It's a joke, it's make believe, like everything else he posts on here.

stig,

first of all, you must understand betting psychology.  I won't bother getting into it other than to say stay in your comfort zone.  Secondly, you must understand the dynamics of "price".  If you bet into the tote at smaller tracks, you are hurting your price as you raise the stakes (that's how I ended up at NYRA).  Odds are determined by how much money is bet on each horse.  On betfair, it's usually "back fav/lay fav", with little money being matched on other horses.  As far as taking time off, in order to make money, you need to follow very closely

TROLL ALERT.

stig may be new to the US game.  I remember back, about the 5th time I went to the track....saw a coupling for the first time.  None of my friends had an answer as to how it worked.  We asked a gentleman next to us and he kindly explained.

pulgita, did you know that on t0te, "Odds are determined by how much money is bet on each horse"?

I don't know about you but I'm thankful billy posted that.

All these years I thought the odds on t0te were determined by the "odds-fairy"Silly

Yes Winston totally true , the comedian bottled it big time,it was a crushing victory for Bluenose, anyone with half once of decency in their bodies would be to ashamed to show up on here again .  But this loser has no shame.

LOL.

Good one Canadian. You've got to love these idiots that think trading is some shrewd system, when really all it involves is making two bets. Why allow a previous bet to influence your next bet?

That's got to be one of the most laughable statements ever...

Sure. As long as you ignore the fact that it's completely infallible...
