[b]Sulis Minerva[/b] was a generally progressive sort during the winter, winning twice at Lingfield (6f). Rounded off campaign with solid effort at same track in competitive affair. Trip and ground fine and shortlisted.
[b]Drawnfromthepast[/b] has got back to form, albeit at lower level, now reunited with former yard. Returns to turf on very lenient mark compared to Bath success last summer. Ground/trip no problem and one to consider seriously.
[b]Haadeeth[/b] made a successful debut for new yard when all out to land Lingfield handicap in February, and close second there last time. Ground no problem (though yet to win turf) but others speedier for 5f.
[b]Clear Praise[/b] is a Kempton specialist who failed to translate AW form to turf last year, but back to winning ways at Kempton...

[b]Lindsay's Dream[/b] finished runner-up twice over hurdles 4 months apart starting out for new yard last season, but hasn't been finishing off her races since, and has a tough mark to contend with on return from an absence.
[b]Edgefour[/b] has been proving very hard to win with in recent seasons over hurdles, but best effort for some time when runner-up at Worcester a month ago. Left on same mark, but no banker to go one better.
[b]Osmosia[/b] is a bumper/hurdles winner who made a successful chase bow at Fontwell last month. Would have gone very close off a reduced mark back over timber but for a late fall at Plumpton, so a serious player.
[b]Set In Her Ways[/b] is a stoutly-bred mare who won an Aintree bumper in May. Shaped as if in need of a stiffer test when in-frame both ...

[b]Billyrayvalentine[/b] (14:20, Folkestone) can get us off to a winning start on Tuesday afternoon and he looks capable of defying a 6 lb penalty that he is set to carry for an impressive win at Sandown five days ago. That was his nursery debut and everything about his performance suggested that there will be more to come from this juvenile in both the short and long term. Billrayvalentine was heavily backed on that occasion and travelled best of all, edging into contention over two furlongs out before putting the race to bed with a notable turn of foot under no more than hand riding from Frankie Dettori. Dettori is booked again this afternoon and the pair should be able to make it two wins in as many starts representing the in-form trainer George Baker.

Saeed Bin Suroor was on the mark at the St Leger meeting on Saturday with two winners and the Godolphin trainer has some live chances this afternoon. The one to be on could be Yarmouth runner [b]Mizbah[/b] (14.40) who shaped encouragingly in a competitive nursery at Newmarket last time. That was Mizbah's first outing for two months on the back of success in a Folkestone maiden, and, racing over a mile for the first time, he saw things out well. Off a mark just 1 lb higher today he seems sure to go close. Jamie Spencer is in the saddle and has a superb record when donning the royal blue silks for Bin Suroor, having partnered 26 winners from 129 rides in the last ten years.
[b]Upcountry[/b] (15.50) looked a sure-fire future winner on his debut at Newmarket last month and can make it second...
