Laaheb is the clear pick based on pair of Group 3 wins last year, including over C&D. Hasn't hit the same heights this year, however, only third in similar event on return from break here last time.
Precision Break was a smart handicapper for previous stable and signs that the ability was still there when badly hampered in handicap at Doncaster in September. Fallen short at this level last twice, however.
Barbican has been a revelation since joining current yard, gaining fifth win when taking 1¾m listed race at Ascot in September. Creditable third in Group 3 last time and has winning form on AW.
Bolivia was a useful performer up to 11f in Germany in 2009. Just a fair start for new yard when fifth in minor event at Newbury in September, and has since struggled in listed races the last twice.
Ceilidh House has been much improved for fitting of tongue strap, landing listed event at Doncaster last year prior to creditable placed efforts in similar events 2 from 3 outings this term. Worth considering on AW bow.
If I Were A Boy made all over 1¼m at Epsom in 2010 and shown herself to be as effective here this term. Biting off more than she can chew in this company, however.
Askaud returned to winning ways since fitted with cheekpieces, landing handicaps at Goodwood in July and Haydock in September. Creditable fifth in listed race last time but likely to find a few too good.
Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Barbican
2. Laaheb
3. Ceilidh House
Timeform View: Laaheb will be hard to beat if back to his best, but the way he tied up last time was a bit worrying and he is probably worth taking on with tough 3-y-o Barbican, who has Ryan Moore in the saddle for the first time. Ceilidh House could easily be involved if taking to the surface.
