Timeform take a look at an excellent listed contest on Kempton's evening card...
Bravo Echo was progressive on polytrack last winter, recording 2 stylish wins in January, including over C&D. Respectable fifth on return from 3 months off here (7f) last time but tough task on these terms.
Edinburgh Knight ran better than ever to land 2 handicaps at Newcastle (6f) in June and Ascot (7f) in October. Just as effective on AW though slight doubts about the trip.
Loyalty is generally progressive but his form has taken off of late, making it back-to-back handicap wins over C&D in October. Good third at Lingfield last time despite race not being run to suit.
Mac Love has been a grand servant down the years, not beaten far in Group 3 at Epsom in June. Chance on that form but overall record this year means others more likely.
Riggins dead heated in this event on debut for yard last year, and back to that sort of form when winning handicap at Lingfield last time. Record on AW is 4 wins from 5 starts and needs to be considered.
Spirit of Sharjah is a hold-up performer who possesses a fine turn of foot, and has won 4 times over 7f in 2010. Not been at his best on turf this year, but goes well fresh and can be expected to bounce back on return to AW.
Steed won 5 in a row for Kevin Ryan on the AW last winter and back-to-form winner at Leicester last month. Excellent third at Lingfield last time but plenty to find on these terms on debut for new yard.
Karam Albaari has come up short all starts in pattern company since making a winning debut here as a juvenile and looks destined for another struggle here.
Avon Lady is a capable handicapper who took her form to a new level when winning 1m minor event at Leicester. Good fourth to Clinical at Lingfield last time but looks vulnerable back against the boys.
Clinical has been in fine form of late, all out at the finish to bring up a hat-trick of listed race wins at Dundalk last time. Likely to give another good account.
Sos Brillante looked temperamental when winning for Saeed bin Suroor at Nad Al Sheba in 2009. Failed to progress for Erwan Charpy last year and hasn't shaped with much promise for current stable.
Supreme Spirit was successful in first-time blinkers at Ffos Las (6f) in September, and better still on AW bow at Wolverhampton over 7f the following month. Creditable sixth last time but plenty to find here.
Face Reality is much improved this year, showing useful form when taking 4-runner minor event at Tipperary in August. Down the field in 2 listed events since and similar scenario awaits.
The Shrew was a ready winner of C&D handicap in April. Much-improved third at this level in September but failed to build on that, behind Clinical at Lingfield last month.
Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Spirit of Sharjah
2. Riggins
3. Clinical
Timeform View: Spirit of Sharjah's recent form figures don't inspire much confidence but he has a good record fresh and could be worth chancing on his return to AW. Last-time-out winners Riggins and Clinical head a host of potential dangers.
