14:15 - There are a few interesting handicap debutants in the opener but I'd rather concentrate on those with solid form, so last-time-out winner Selbaar and Roy's Legacy, whose natural pace will count for plenty at this track, are the two selections.

14:45 - Blaise Chorus and Hairstyle are the form picks in the second leg, but neither appeal as ideal types for the placepot, so the more solid Dawn Gale is included along with Perilously, who was too green to do herself justice first time up.

15:15 - Rio Tinto's win at Kempton last time isn't really working out and he's far from reliable so he's worth opposing for placepot purposes. Few of the others have solid profiles but Commerce has a good polytrack record and may have been freshened up by a break, while Signora Frasi is rarely out of the frame on this surface.

15:45 - The claimer is a no brainer so far as I'm concerned. Ezdeyaad and Pegasus Again arrive in good form while all the others have question marks hanging over them in one way or another.

16:15 - Of the newcomers dominating the market in the penultimate leg, Zenaat's pedigree stands out more than any and plenty of Sir Michael Stoute's juveniles have been tuned up recently, so he goes in a long with Idyllic Star, whose previous experience could prove crucial.

16:45 - Finally, Golestan Palace could probably do with a bit further than today's trip of a mile and half, but he's got such strong recent form that it's hard to see him not making the three in the final leg, so he's a banker.
