I'm backing Karolina to win, been very impressed with her this tournament.

Might not get another chance as well, soon to be 30, Noskova plenty of time at 21.

All those years of injuries, would be nice for her career to culminate in a slam victory

Kind Regards.

I very much hope Miss Muchova wins. An entertaining player, a joy to watch quite frankly.

1-1

both players already won more games than Anisimova did in both sets last year
Report TheCarambaExperience July 11, 2026 4:24 PM BST
Noskova winning this would really sting.
Report TheCarambaExperience July 11, 2026 4:25 PM BST
Mostly because Sorana had MP against her but also because I would like Muchova to finally win one and she's not getting better chances than this.
Report TheCarambaExperience July 11, 2026 4:27 PM BST
It would be quite something if Czech managed to have 3 random Wimbledon winners in the span of 4 years. (I wouldn't consider Muchova random).
Report mesmerised July 11, 2026 4:32 PM BST
yep, Krejcikova and Vondrosuva definitely random , Barbora 125/1, Marketa was the lowest ranked women ever to win Women's wimbledon

Maybe these WTA slam finals should be best of 5

Muchova massive disappointment

She looks like she's completely overcome with nerves

No where near normal level
Report mesmerised July 11, 2026 5:31 PM BST
Double faulting on Championship point, that's 4 she's had now, 3 on Muchova's serve

Back on serve!

If Noskova loses this match, don't think she'll ever get over it

Both of these two are decent enough players and Muchova has knocked out 3 former slam winner in the 2nd week, only 5th ever player in the open era to do that

but they are no where near the standard of yesteryear, slam finals in the 80's were mostly filled up of multi slam winners like Navratilova and Evert, the 90s with Graf, Seles, Sanchez Vicario and Hingis, 2000's Williams sisters, Henin and Clijsters, 2010's Sharapova and Serena with your Halep's and Garbines to a lesser extent.

But last few years you've had a good few random winners and finalists like Vondrousova, Krejcikova, Collins, Raducanu, Kenin, Paolini and for me the most random of the lot, Jennifer Brady

Muchova and Noskova are simply apart of that recent trend, good players but no where near World Class players.

Brady was not that random. She had a really consistent year or so before injuries ruined her career. She was what Pegula later became, but only for a brief time due to the aforementioned injury. Was also screwed over by the frozen ranking points, should have been something like no 3 but never even cracked the top 10.
I do agree with your overall point though. I rate Muchova higher than the others, but there's still some randomness about her.

Report TheCarambaExperience July 12, 2026 3:05 AM BST
The randomness really started when Serena stopped dominating. To an extent it's become more stable with Sabalenka and Swiatek in recent years compared to peak randomness era but none have had a stellar year so here we are. 7 different winners in the 7 most recent Slams.
