I very much hope Miss Muchova wins. An entertaining player, a joy to watch quite frankly.

1-1
both players already won more games than Anisimova did in both sets last year |
By:
Noskova winning this would really sting.
By:
Mostly because Sorana had MP against her but also because I would like Muchova to finally win one and she's not getting better chances than this.
By:
It would be quite something if Czech managed to have 3 random Wimbledon winners in the span of 4 years. (I wouldn't consider Muchova random).
By:
yep, Krejcikova and Vondrosuva definitely random , Barbora 125/1, Marketa was the lowest ranked women ever to win Women's wimbledon

Maybe these WTA slam finals should be best of 5

coco choked for this, good performance from linda though
By:
Muchova massive disappointment
She looks like she's completely overcome with nerves No where near normal level |
By:
Double faulting on Championship point, that's 4 she's had now, 3 on Muchova's serve
By:
Back on serve!
If Noskova loses this match, don't think she'll ever get over it |
By:
hardest point to win is the last one

trying to think of when a player in WTA had 5 Championship points or more at Wimbledon and didn't win
By:
choke central. or to put it another way. if thats not a choke then choking does not exist
By:
Two players who can't believe they are in a Wimbledon Final?
By:
The women get the same prize money as the men...Just saying.

Noskova playing some tremendous stuff when she's not being nervous.

Awesome match. Wonder if we will see another wobble.

Both of these two are decent enough players and Muchova has knocked out 3 former slam winner in the 2nd week, only 5th ever player in the open era to do that
but they are no where near the standard of yesteryear, slam finals in the 80's were mostly filled up of multi slam winners like Navratilova and Evert, the 90s with Graf, Seles, Sanchez Vicario and Hingis, 2000's Williams sisters, Henin and Clijsters, 2010's Sharapova and Serena with your Halep's and Garbines to a lesser extent. But last few years you've had a good few random winners and finalists like Vondrousova, Krejcikova, Collins, Raducanu, Kenin, Paolini and for me the most random of the lot, Jennifer Brady Muchova and Noskova are simply apart of that recent trend, good players but no where near World Class players. |

why would the Duchess shake hands with some of the ball persons, but not others?

Or Princess, whatever?

The randomness really started when Serena stopped dominating. To an extent it's become more stable with Sabalenka and Swiatek in recent years compared to peak randomness era but none have had a stellar year so here we are. 7 different winners in the 7 most recent Slams.
