no never heard of her, I was too young in the 90's to consume tennis like I do know, really only knew 3 players as I was of school age, maybe I head of McEnroe as well because they used to talk about his 'you can't be serious line'.

I honestly didn't even know Sue Barker was a former slam winner or tennis players for years when she was Presenting Wimbledon on the BBC until they mentioned it one day, saw her in a a different light after that, always thought she was a bit of a dowdy presenter just put there to do a job, turns out she had a bit of talent.

Men's final top 50 in 1999

Recognised 34 names, at the time I wouldn't have done, but in the early 2000's started to watch tennis more full time so the names became familiar. Chang was still hanging around top 50.

Can't provoke many better players into choking you so you get the win by qualification.

I'm honestly amazed we've never seen a proper fight on a tennis court, or an empire having enough of a player's abuse. What we have seen is mostly handbags stuff. Rarely happens in football either, famous account was once in 70's involving Hamburg's finest, Kevin Keegan, where proper punches were actually thrown.
