So should I change all wisewords wins in the forum comp to your new name or would you like to remain undercover and start anew on the quest to glory?

José Morgado @josemorgado
·6m WTA RACE atm: Paolini, Andreeva and Rybakina will finish the week all three almost tied if Rybakina wins tomorrow. Andreeva shockingly didn’t ask for a WC in Tokyo but can’t do it for Guangzhou (draw still isn’t out). Mirra vulturing her way to Riyadh? |
By:
I take it next week is the final week where you can earn points that count towards Riyadh?

woah Daniil loses the set. Market really loved him.

When will we get the trainer on for Holger today?

ffs Ugo!
down a break after being up one. |
By:
still every chance I get my Holger injury drama, but it would have been more likely to happen if he was down in the score.
By:
I feel bad, but this is great for my book.
By:
It was bound to happen. When you have an injury and is as fragile as Holger, you will try and compensate and put extra pressure on other body parts.
By:
Profits of €9,828.50 just on the injury speculation mixed arbs based on what happened yesterday. Gave away €790 by locking in some profit in the end, but very happy overall with the outcome. I do feel bad for Holger though. It's a mystery to me how someone who seems so driven to me is this injury prone even at age 22.

so Mirra didn't enter anything for next week, meaning Paolini is now qualifed for the WTA finals and Ryba can do so by either winning today and making semis in Tokyo (would just need two wins there) or losing today and winning Tokyo.
By:
Rune's injury from yesterday was a torn achilles tendon, so he will be out for quite a while.
By:
![]() He'll probably have to spend xmas with mama Aneke now and be exposed to her smoking instead of doing a big training block somewhere. |
By:
Can do a big rehab block somewhere.

Here's my top 8 for the end of the year. Iga, Saba, Rybakina, Coco, Q Zheng, Paolini, Schnaider, Mirra edy • January 4, 2025 4:56 AM GMT My official 2025 end of season top 8 (in no particular order) Iga, Sabalenka, Gauff, Badosa, Qinwen, Muchova, Pegula, Kasatkina wisewords • January 6, 2025 9:07 AM GMT sorry it's late! Aryna, Coco, Qinwen, Iga, Pegula, Diana, Jasmine, Mirra These were our picks for top 8. As later was established, we’re going by who appears on the Riyadh fancy group photo. With just the final spot up in the air (Ryba vs Mirra) and assuming no last minute shenanigans happen, things stand like this. Me: 5 points (Iga, Saba, Coco, Paolini, Ryba/Mirra) edy: 4 points (Iga, Sabalenka, Gauff, Pegula) ww: 5 or 6 points depending on whether Mirra makes it. (Aryna, Coco, Iga, Pegula, Jasmine, possibly Mirra) |

no-one had Anisimova or Keys.
By:
Lowest points wins, right?
By:
Is that how you interpreted the rules? Is that why you picked Kasatkina?
By:
I'm afraid it's the highest. But bronze is nothing to sneeze at.
By:
Couldn't have known that Kasatkina would stop trying.

Moutet footfaults on an underarm serve.

By:
gross. Daniil shooting snot cannons on court. Also dangerous, as he could slip on them.
By:
Yeah, that was quite a sight. It was after a 38 shot rally, not that that condones it !
By:
Still not put Goffin vs Cilic in play. Not sure what will happen with the money matched before and after the off now and the market as a whole.
By:
Daniil wins a title again !
By:
So annoying that this happens. Last time I checked the rules aren't exactly clear either. But they usually void everything matched after the match has started once they finally realize their muggery.
By:
By:
oh dear, what did they make Daniil wear!

Ellen Perez potentially dropping big news regarding Mirra and there's no reaction.
Ellen Perez @EllenPerez95 ·6h She doesn’t have the visa to play in Tokyo If that is correct, couldn't she have taken a late wc to Guangzhou 250? |
By:
Guangzhou is not Linz.
By:
And Conchita wouldn't condone stealing an already announced wild card anyway.
By:
Oh I see.
So Mirra was relying on getting enough points in Beijing/Wuhan/Ningbo, didn't bother to enter Tokyo or Guangzhou and by the time she realized she needed points from one of those tournaments, it was too late as she didn't get a visa for Japan (if what Ellen claims is true), and wildcards had already been announced for Guangzhou. It could also be the case that she feels she can do with the break and if she misses out on Riyadh, especially in her current poor form, it's not the end of the world. |
By:
Needs to go to the Maldives with Conchita and Aussie Dasha really.
By:
you need to be specific when you say that these days.
