So Emma Raducanu ends her season with one semi final and one quarter final, ( according to the BBC article), a 28/22 win/loss record, and is currently ranked 29.
Is that all it takes to be a top 30 player?

Absolutely. The absolute top players hog all the places in the semifinals, leaving few for those below them like Raducanu. Sad

You say she's ended her season, there's nothing left of the season, she's not making the tour finals and no point playing mug 250's in the far east esp with a persistent lower back problem, around 35k for those events to the winner, given her sponsorship deals it wouldn't be worth her while get out of bed for less than 35k a day. There's Tokyo but no point half fit. Full of rent a crowds in South East Asia, MOTD today was Ryba v YaScreamSka prime time, local time, poor acoustics, smattering of clapping and no real energy, players just grind the Asian Swing this time of year when really all they're thinking about is the beach on their December break. She'll probably drop out of the top 30 by the time the season's over anyway if results of those around her go against her, meaning she'll have to go deep in the early tournaments next year before the Aussie open to be seeded for it, she hasn't been seeded at a slam for four years and it doesn't help, this year alone she ran into Swiatek, Sabalenka or Rybakina early in the 4 majors, the three best players in the world by talent, that's unlucky. Those match points she had against Krejcikova and Pegula recently before losing would have hurt, as well as losing to the beast from the East in two great battles at Wimbledon and Cincy in the form of Ayrna, but on the other hand it shows what her level can be. And apparently she's sticking with her coach, which is a turn up for the books and also a good sign.

Kind Regards.

She's 27th in the race and has no points to defend from now until the Aussie Open. She should have a good chance of being seeded even without picking up any points as others will have points to defend in the same time span. If she does play the AO lead-ups, she'll have even greater chances of being seeded.

depends on if they defend them and gain on them in the last couple of weeks and the start of next season, lots of players in the ranking range play these smaller events to get that seeding spot

but it's not just a seeding position that helps, it's a good seeding position, it's better to be 17-24 to avoid top 8 players in the first 3 rounds for example

True, one would need to take a closer look at the points breakdown on those around her in the rankings.

Yeah, top 24 would help. And/or some luck. I think overall 2025 has been a very big step in the right direction with her body holding up until breaking down a bit late in the season. Hopefully that will not hinder her from getting a good training block for the new season.

"How do you feel about yesterday?"
Laugh Holger confused about that question and rightfully so as the commentator corrects himself and says I mean tomorrow.

Could be a cool SF line-up in Stockholm with a Dane, a Norwegian and either a Swede or a half-Swede.

1.2x Ymer is silly. Denis arguing with the crowd suggests he's not in the mood to tap (famous last words !)

He was doing the same against Leo. I'm wondering if it's gamblers trying to disrupt him. Not like Swedish crowds to be jerks and not like Denis to pick fights.

I think Denis will try in this 2nd at least. A 3rd he might not be in the mood for. It will depend on how the leg is feeling of course.
