Carlos is gonna do some more of this this tournament. Sinner's gonna cruise and be fave for the final, only to be owned by Carlos again.

hilarious but probably accurate.

im a set late with the felix mugging. gets himself in position to somehow win and nows when he will get broken
By:

looking like carlos gets away with one here. make no mistake though a horror performance. ridiculous unforced error count, poor body language and a similar performance against a better player and surely he would be going out

Watching Rakhimova and Ito. There are very clear skid marks on the lower end of the court and day 1 hasn't even finished yet.

Must have been that Bergs guy.

Clare bleeping Balding seems mostly interested in telling us which 'celebrities' are in the Royal Box.

rublev next on the mugging list. serves for an easy win in three in the breaker and goes from mp up to mb down. mug.
By:
tobiasr
When: 30 Jun 25 19:19
god theres been some mugging today but rublev is right up there with the best of it. about to go to a decider having lost two breakers in a row against that well known grass courter djere
By:

When: 30 Jun 25 19:28
rublev wins in four. still a giant mug
By:

When: 30 Jun 25 19:42
not only is osaka at least half the player she was, the killer instinct has gone. used to be that she'd kick on from a set up but now its more likely her matches go to a decider

just seen rublev won on a df. that says it all really. probably would have lost the point otherwise

was listening to the Served podcast yesterday. both Roddick & Wertheim had a Sabalenka vs. Rybakina final with Sabalenka winning. made me think on the spot "there's no chance in hell you're winning it now Aryna" PlainPlainWhoops

Roddick thinks Yastremska will take down Coco in round 1. I know grass isn't Coco's best surface but a R1 loss to Yastremska seems a bit extreme

I also had a Sabalenka vs. Rybakina final for my wooden spon choices.

Is Cornet done again then?

I'm not 100% but the point of her comeback was to play Wimbledon one more time. could she carry on until next year in an attempt to achieve that?

From what I read she already said it was her final Wimbledon even if it was only qualification, but who knows with Cornet...

yastremska has every chance. coco hasn't enjoyed the grass since the rg win. serve troubles plus an opponent in form spells possible upset

well played Katie Boulter. I'll toast that victory. knew you had a really live chance today of victory with Paula's recent injury struggles

Good thing there weren't any idiots that picked the Tsitsidosa double in the first round this time like they did at RG.

I hope she does carry on for another 12 months. she's great value, extremely entertaining. did you follow the qualies much edy? I found them super exciting, especially the Hon/Mboko match and the campaign of Valentova who is going to be a massive handful on clay in the next few years as you already know

Katie also said +"I was bricking it" in the centre court post match interview that aired on BBC.

"Where did the term "bricking it" come from?
So frightened that you might even soil yourself (“**** a brick”) which is what the term is derived from. 21 Sept 2021"
https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/be-bricking-it

no consistency from BBC, they don't allow Mingge Xu to use her name, but this language they allow.
By:

When: 30 Jun 25 20:40
saying "I was bricking it" is much softer than saying "I was sh.tting myself"

if she wants to it'd be great if she carried on for a bit, but I get the impression she's in some limbo where she wants to move on the the next chapter in her life, but also knows she has a very limited window if she does want to play tennis. I think she is done.

Maybe it was Xu's choice rather than the BBC's choice to go with Mimi because all her adoslescent male school mates constantly did stupid jokes with her real name.

it was very annoying edy, I just used the BBC iPlayer feed in the end, which meant I got to see only a few select matches and had the scoreboard the rest
