So much time wasted just sitting there.

By:
You can't truly let go and sink into the world of the book during less than 90 seconds.
By:
ah she only reads fictional stuff?
By:
Sas was up 4-1 and had 0-40 on Zhu's serve. Zhu just won the set 6-4.
By:
Classic.
By:
It all went wrong for her when I mentioned the silly serve stance. Which was working quite well for her at the time.
By:
But it is very silly. I can not just ignore these things.
By:
but not as silly as the market. Zhu has a good record on grass and the market still made her a big underdog against Sasnovich.
By:
been quite the day for mugs. although days like these seem to be everyday
By:
set 1.
Zhu 0-40 down at 1*-4. Saves all bps and wins the game. set 2. Zhu 0-40 down at 3*-1. Saves all bps and wins the game. |
By:
and in both sets those were PONR moments.
By:
anyone read anything more about Mirra/Conchi?
By:
no idea but if i was conchi id be saying see you later and give me a call when youve sorted yourself out because yesterday plus the french open was embarrassing and im not talking about the results. losing is fine, in tennis you lose a lot. your attitude though should be the right attitude 99 times out of a 100
By:
osaka in fine form. blows 0-40 which if she had taken would have seen her serve for the match, then goes 3-1 up in the following breaker and doesn't win another point. and this is against samsonova who managed to lose to branstine last week. wta is a bad joke
By:
watch her collapse now in the decider. no mental strength at all
By:
he we go. bp. the first one in the game. she wont save it
By:
and she doesnt
By:
unreal. few minutes ago she was on the cusp of winning in two sets. now shes set to lose in three. doesnt convert 0-40, doesnt win another point in breaker from 3-1 ahead and then spunks her serve to the first bp in the first game of decider. unreal
By:
0-30 trying to get back on serve. probably wont win another point in the game
By:
15-40. she will not break though its all a tease
By:
knock me down. she did break. who would have thunk it
By:
so sabalenka apologises to gauff for comments she made after the fo final about how gauff hadnt really played that well and had only won because of all of sabas errors. only problem with the apology is that every word of what saba said in that presser was completely correct
By:
meanwhile osaka broken again. absolutely useless. complete shadow of the player she was when winning slams
By:
it took just over 1 day for me to remember that Berlin is an utter tankathon and most of the players can't wait to get out of the tournament and travel over to London to begin Wimbledon prep
By:
if thats supposed to explain osaka i dont think it does. otherwise why bother scrapping for the first set and getting on the cusp of a straight sets win
By:
clearly samsonova isnt tanking. she did that last week against branstine
By:
15-40 gone. osaka really has had a shocker
By:
its like a slow death. youre going to lose osaka and you deserve it. 2 bps faced in this set and saved neither and missed nearly every bp you had a look at
By:
gsm samsonova. pair of losers
By:
By:
I don't think Lyuda likes Naomi much. she basically said she's playing badly on the grass at the moment, still trying to fully adapt and find the good feeling. but she still managed to beat Naomi
![]() |
By:
the tournament was definitely badly organised last year. don't know about this year but the players weren't impressed with it last year
By:
![]() can't believe they are besmirching Steffi's name like that. |
By:
Ons & Paula won in the doubles
![]() ![]() |
By:
it's hard for some of these 500s to match the high bar the 1000 events produce and of course the Slams. the biggest names aren't impressed being treated like a number 24 in the world
By:
women's tennis on grass these days is pretty tricky to predict, and then when you throw in variables like Coco & Aryna will have had very limited time to practice on the surface before playing their matches tomorrow in Berlin, it makes things even more difficult
By:
then throw in the fact it's a 500 so the prize money isn't anything to shout about and they all want to be ready for Wimbledon where the prize money is massively higher, so most likely we'll end up with a "500 final"
By:
prize money is nothing for the top players, but those just outside top 4/top 8 should be motivated to get some ranking to get a better seed for Wimbledon.
By:
although in reality this is often not the case.
By:
Toad here's my very early preliminary shortlist for Wimbledon winner:
Sabalenka Gauff Keys Rybakina Anisimova Putintseva Boulter Yastremska Pegula Bencic |
