I think this is covid related rather than being lazy, no?

Regardless, not good for her chances to do well at the Aussie Open.

There's nearly 70,000 people watching the court's live stream of the hearing. the PPV revenue they're missing out on! |

how do you see this going SMB and wisey ? he going to be allowed to play. the reasoning to chuck him out seems very weak, that he's anti vax but he is legally fine. that just doesn't make sense to me.

Novak's odds coming in. I'm not reading too much into that though.

at least they got rid of that loser Christopher Tran. Might have a better chance with the new one. At least he doesn't look like he's fresh out of law school.

was Hawke writing his deportation statement on his own or together with lawyers? Surely it must have been the latter since they knew it was going to be appealed.

I think even 24 hours ago a lot of people would have found it pretty incredible that they'd concede the legal side. |

Wood putting a bit of pace into this, clearly conscious of Judge saying he wanted to crack through all this in time for lunch.

Speaking of words.
Quite a poor haul of new words tonight. I picked up 'disanalogous' from Wood which is quite a cool one. but Lloyd just seems to use a lot of annoying double negatives. |
|
By:
Use in a sentence.
'Rafa picking his arse is disanalagous to Novak being an antivaxxer as you can clearly see what Rafa is doing with his hand but you need to ask Novak what he is doing with his mind' |

Jon Wertheim @jon_wertheim · 21m FWiw, some players/team hearing schedule would be out by 4pm at the latest , even if they aren’t done adjudicating the case... Good for Rafa and Kejmanovic. Not so good for Rublev, Felix. |

Good move by Lloyd to mention the vaccine rate in Serbia to support minister's claim.

Gotta admit this was pretty funny!
Tennis ballFish @TennisTuna Djokovic owns property in Serbia, Monte Carlo, and other countries but he lives rent free in Ben Rothenberg’s head |

News from the court is that there's no further orders. We're all done here. |

It was a stitch up really, Djokovic was never going to win that appeal. The government had basically prepared a case they knew they couldn't lose on. To win Djokovic's lawyers would have had to prove conclusively Djokovic would have no influence on anti-vaxxers, the anti-vax movement in Australia, and thus a threat to public health. You can't irrefutably disprove that, it's impossible, this is exactly why the government chose this rather than incorrect paperwork or whatever, when you ignite something on sentiment it's impossible to lose under the Australian system.
The reality is they really just picked up anything to throw him out, and were just looking for whatever would work. Losing the first case was embarrassing, they couldn't afford to lose again politically. It does seem lose-lose to me though now, they had to win the case, but the whole circus has made them look clowns regardless, can't imagine it's particularly boosted their popularity, as no-one will say its been handled well. |
